$35 per hour for 1 child

From 2009 onward, I volunteered in different educational capacities to gain experience. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, I landed my first job working for the City of Fremont as a recreational aide. I planned the curriculum, led activities, and supervised the children. Later, I worked at Children's Fairyland for almost two years. In October 2014, I began working at Hortensia's Way preschool, where I stayed for almost seven years. I cared for infants from four months to children up to eight years of age. I enjoyed working at a preschool because I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children, and I loved seeing them learn and grow. As a result of my years as a preschool assistant, I have experience in developing and implementing curricula, supervising and teaching children, as well as potty training and facilitating general play. I have nine early childhood education units, and I have worked for four years as a nanny, caring for infants who have grown into toddlers. I have assisted with tummy time, solids, engagement, and routines, as well as creating play spaces!

I have been in childcare for over 30 years. At 16 years old I started working in nurseries (daycare) in England, and later returned to college to take a diploma (degree) in childcare and education. I specialized in caring for babies, and did my extra credit classes and work experience in neonatal care and handling premature infants. During my college years I worked as an overnight nanny for an infant as well as in an after school club (program) with 5-11 year olds. Since then I have worked as a nanny for two different families, a neonatal infant nurse in a busy maternity hospital, and also as a classroom assistant in schools and nurseries (ages 3-5 years). In the USA I have spent two years as a toddler room helper, a teacher to toddlers and pre-k in a daycare, and then went on to run my own home daycare/childcare business for 6 years caring for children aged from six weeks to six years. I prefer being a nanny as it's a different pace in my working life, having fewer children at a time (one or two rather than six) who can benefit from my sills and experience. I rarely if ever find caring for any child challenging. Nothing phases me or is too much to handle; diapers, toilet training, and body fluids don't bother me at all. I am looking to work for for a family who are as open and accepting as I am towards others, a family who will embrace the prospect of a male nanny as a positive influence in their child's life. I believe that every child should be cherished, appreciated, feel valued and shown that their feelings matter. I have current State/Police/FBI clearance checks and first aid certificate. I am clean living (do not smoke, drink, or use any illegal substances), house trained, a good cook, and have total respect for your home, property, and your children. My availability changes, the calendar may not accurately reflect this so dont be afraid to contact me!

DJ nannied for our daughter for a year and a half (3 months to 18 months) at which time we started our daughter in daycare. Working with DJ was always a pleasure. He was punctual, reliable, and never called out sick. He was extremely helpful for 2 new parents by providing advice and guidance while simultaneously respecting our wishes on how we wanted to raise our child. If anything with her schedule changed (number of bottles, number of naps, etc), he easily made the transition with her immediately. He helped with light baby-related housework such as folding laundry. He was easy to communicate with and was always responsive. He sent picture updates throughout the day/ week. He clearly cared for our daughter. He was always kind, gentle, and loving with her. He treated her like his own. Our daughter is almost 2 years old and still talking about DJ. He's an asset to any household.

Hi! I'm Anuradha! I offer dog walking, dog and cat sitting, and house sitting! I have grown up with my family dog, taking him for walks, feeding him and dog sitting. I absolutely love dogs and how sweet they are! I am careful, loyal, dependable and make sure that the dog gets enough exercise and fully completed their potty time before ending their walk.

Anuradha is a great petsitter - she was very professional, gave me updates with photos and vidoes of my dog during her sit, was able to handle the active behavior of my foster puppy, and was always prompt in replies. I would recommend Anuradha for anyone looking for a petsitter.

Booked by 7 families in Long Island City, NY

Hi parents! My name is Brooke and I currently work in a daycare, specializing in infant and early-toddler care. I have hands-on experience caring for babies in a structured, professional childcare environment — including feeding, diapering, bottle prep, safe sleep, tummy time, developmental play, and creating a calm, nurturing routine. I’m trained to follow proper childcare standards, safety guidelines, and communication practices. I’ve worked with infants ranging from newborns to 18 months and I’m very confident with soothing techniques, sensory activities, and understanding developmental milestones.

Brooke was lovely to coordinate with for a last minute sit. She arrived on time, and immediately jumped into playing with my son. I lingered (first time with an evening sitter), she dis not mind. I left, she handled bedtime, when my son awoke he was devastated to find me home instead of his “new friend Brooke”. In literal tears. I was not offended, only pleased that her short first time playdate had left such a lasting impression. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
