It's my favorite thing to see that knowledge light up a little one's smile. That philosophy carries through easily to all children under my care. Before becoming a teacher, I was a tutor and a nanny, so I'm used to the rhythms of home as well as the classroom! The most important thing to me is to make sure your kids are safe and happy. I'm also extremely musical! I'm in the process of applying to graduate school to become a cantor - I sing and play piano, flute, and guitar, and I love enchanting little ones with music! When I was a kid all I ever wanted was to have an older brother to talk to, mess around with, help me with my homework, and show up for me. The girls my parents would hire to watch us were more than capable and very good to us, but they'd never really play with or fully engage with me. Eventually, I began serving a few families and really found my spot in working with kids. You'll forgive me for saying so - but, they're often easier to spend time with than many adults I know. It costs nothing to make a kid's day if it makes yours. I have 9 years of hands-on experience in supervising and engaging with children.
