I am an acting student that graduated from LaGuardia HS of Music and Art, attended Boston University and graduated this past May with a degree in theater. I am enthusiastic, engaged and nurturing. Growing up, I was the youngest of three as well as the youngest in my extended family and had many babysitters that shaped me into the woman I am. I worked with kids at my camp, French Woods Festival, for 3 years. I assistant directing kids ages 7-11 as well as counselor in training and trained to watch them over the night shift. A few summers ago I interned at an organization titled Only Make Believe which provides theatre for kids in hospitals that need medical assistance. Additionally I worked at Broadway Workshop which provides summer theater training to kids in school K-12. All of this work is on top of the babysitting I have done over the last 4 years of college with ages 0-13. I love working with kids and love getting to see the world through their eyes and feel it is the catalyst for my work as an actor and helps me reconnect with my imagination and inner child. I am a big dog lover and have had a dog in the house ever since I was born.

My husband is a pastor, and we’re here to start a new church—community and care are a big part of our lives. I’m a proud aunt to two nieces and an honorary auntie to all of my best friends’ little ones. I’m Costa Rican (currently learning Spanish!), a marathon runner, and I love spending time at the farmers market and cooking at home. I’ve been caring for children for over 10 years and feel comfortable with all ages—from infants to school-aged kiddos. Haii! I’m an incoming Pace University (NYC Campus) student who genuinely enjoys working with children. I have experience babysitting kids from 3months to 11 years old, tutoring after school. And I’m ALSO CPR certified. A day babysitting with me : I like to keep things fun while still following the family’s routine. We might start with a snack and some homework, then switch it up with arts and crafts, games, a movie, playing outside, or exploring something new( definitely excited about this). I’m big on letting kids have fun while still making sure they feel comfortable, heard, and safe. Before the parents come home, I’ll make sure everything is cleaned up and the kids are settled into whatever routine they normally have. I like to actively keep the kids busy and myself, so their interests are very important to me. Parents are updated every few hours and occasional check in when it’s my day off. Having open communication is my biggest priority. I’d describe myself as kind, outgoing, easy to talk to for the most part lol and someone who always tries to bring positive energy wherever I go. I’ve always believed the best jobs are the ones where people are genuinely happy to see you walk through the door. I want to be the sitter kids get excited about and the person parents can trust without worrying. As I’ll be moving away from my own family to start college, I know how important it is to have people around you who make you feel safe, supported, and cared for. I hope I can be that person for the families I experience New York with while building a foundation for connections. I’m currently available for after-school care, date nights, and completely available on the weekends!!! I can adjust as needed and do very early mornings but it’ll be tedious. Hello. My name is Abigail (abby) and I am a pre- school teacher working primarily with 3 year-olds. I enjoy my job and getting to educate while having fun with my beautiful students. Prior to this I have worked in day care centers so I have 2 years worth of experience assisting and providing essential care for children. Helping children with basic skill needs of any age is what I do best because I love seeing the transition/transformation as they grow up into little toddlers and exploring different opportunities. I am currently in school (full- time) online pursuing my Master’s degree in teaching special education and elementary.
