Andrea $18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Andrea and I’m a lifeguard and a swim instructor at the YMCA. I’m certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. I also have an extra certification in teaching kids with disabilities such as ADHD or autism. I’ve been a swim instructor at the ymca for about two years now and have taught kids of different ages and backgrounds. I understand how draining it can be to take care of kids, which is why I’d like to be of help to parents who are overworked or even might just need some time for self-care. I also have a lot of experience with pets and especially cats. I've done a lot of research about pet care on my own time since I own two cats who I greatly care for. I’m definitely open to feeding, walking, or playing with pets. They deserve just as much attention and time as kids! I can cook as well but I am more confident when it comes to vegan/vegetarian recipes. However, I’m open to learning any new kinds of recipes that are out of my comfort zone.

Booked by 1 family in Middle Village, NY

Hi - my name's Mical! A Bushwick resident of 2+ years now. Originally from Connecticut, where I've babysat for 3 families throughout 12 yrs ! I'm a music and bookstore enthusiast, and try to incorporate both in my sitting. I'm also a major foodie, so cooking is a display of love I'm happy to share where I can. -Experienced 3 mo.s old + My longest history babysitting was 7 yrs, to a family of 3 sweet boys and a pup. My double-major in Human Development& Family Studies and Psychology fostered a commitment to promoting learning, healthy attachment, empathy and curiosity in my kids. Childcare and pet care have been the most fulfilling and entertaining work I've done so I'm excited to continue building relationships with my community while enjoying play time! -Licensed, responsible driver (no car) -Red Cross CPR trained

Mical has been an amazing babysitter for our family, and I cannot recommend her enough! She is not only reliable but also incredibly patient and attentive with our kids. The children adore her – she engages them in different activities, ensures they stay safe, and keeps them on their routines which is a hard task on its own! Mical is the one!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
