New York
$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in New York, NY

Hello, my name is Emerita. I am 36 years old. I have two children, 16 and 11 years I love children I am very sweet and patient with them I like to read books, play, take them to the park. I have 3 years of experience and worked with 2 families, in a daycare also I can help with light cleaning . I have a driver's license and CPR&AID

Emerita is an amazing nanny, and our family very fortunate to have found her. Our son had only known one nanny for all 3.5 years of his life and at that age was not taking too kindly to new people. However, when his first nanny went home overseas, Emerita was able to quickly and successfully take over what was quite a demanding job at the time: 6 days/week, 10 hours a day watching after our very active son including extensive trips away from the house at parks, beaches, the city, etc. Highly trustworthy, very friendly, and very adaptable to children....we strongly recommend Emerita for anyone seeking a nanny who is willing to adapt to your schedule and manage highly demanding toddlers.

$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Odessa, and I’m a recent graduate from Montclair State University with my BFA in Fine Arts. I’m passionate about working with kids and pets. I bring a creative, responsible, and caring approach to caregiving. I have been working with children ages 4–17 since 2021 through my roles as an art instructor and assistant at summer camps. These experiences allowed me to engage kids in fun, creative activities while fostering their growth and confidence. During high school at Montclair High, I babysat children ages 2–7, taking on responsibilities like keeping them active with crafts and games, helping with homework, preparing meals, and maintaining bedtime routines. I also have experience dog walking and house sitting since 2023, managing tasks like feeding, walking three times daily, and ensuring pets are cared for and comfortable. I’m currently available to babysit or dog sit, and I’d love the opportunity to support your family. My background in art and childcare allows me to connect with kids in unique and enriching ways, and my organizational skills and reliability make me a trusted caregiver for your home or pets.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
