I am a compassionate, dedicated, and adaptable caregiver with years of hands-on experience caring for babies, pets, and seniors. Growing up in a large family, I began babysitting my cousins as early as high school, which gave me a deep understanding of the responsibility and patience required to care for young children. Additionally, being raised by my grandparents taught me firsthand the joys and challenges of caring for seniors, shaping my empathetic and respectful approach. These personal experiences, combined with my professional dedication, make me a trustworthy and skilled caregiver. From a young age, I embraced the responsibility of looking after children in my extended family. Babysitting my cousins while still in high school taught me not only how to manage their needs but also how to create a nurturing and safe environment. These early experiences instilled in me a natural affinity for caring for babies, which has only grown over the years. As someone who understands the special bond between humans and animals, I am deeply committed to providing attentive and loving care for pets. My flexible work schedule and remote lifestyle enable me to give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need to feel safe and happy. What sets me apart as a caregiver is the foundation of family values that shaped my lifeGrowing up in a large family and being surrounded by different generations taught me to appreciate the beauty of caregiving at every stage of life. Whether it was babysitting my younger cousins or helping my grandparents with daily tasks, I learned early on the importance of patience, empathy, and responsibility. These experiences not only prepared me to care for others but also gave me a genuine passion for helping families, pets, and seniors thrive. Caregiving is more than just a role for me—it is a way of life shaped by my upbringing and personal values. I bring a wealth of experience, unwavering dedication, and a warm, nurturing approach to every caregiving situation. By choosing me, you’re not just hiring a caregiver—you’re inviting someone into your family who will treat your loved ones with the same love, respect, and attentiveness I’ve offered my own family throughout my life. Whether it’s a baby’s laughter, a pet’s wagging tail, or a senior’s smile, I am committed to creating moments of joy and comfort for those in my care.

Rosaria 2 reviews
$12 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in New York, NY

Hello! My name is Rosaria, and I’m currently a student at NYU studying Theater and Social Sciences. I’ve always loved working with kids and creating environments where they feel comfortable, safe, heard, and able to be themselves. I have experience working with children of many different ages through babysitting and as a camp counselor at a music summer camp, where I worked with campers ages 8–16. I led improv games, arts and crafts activities, music-based activities, and helped create a fun and welcoming environment for all campers. Working with children has also always been a part of my life because my mom has been a full-time nanny for over 30 years. Since I was 16, I’ve helped assist her with caring for children and babies of all ages (with permission from families), and through that experience, I learned how important patience, communication, attentiveness, and trust are when caring for kids. I love engaging kids through reading, imaginative play, sketching, LEGO builds, card games, crafts, and making stories feel interactive, creative, and fun. I cook and meal prep for myself often and genuinely love cooking and baking. I’d always be happy to prepare meals/snacks or even make cooking a fun activity with your child when appropriate! I also have experience cat-sitting and caring for pets, so I’m very comfortable in homes with animals as well.

Rosaria has watched our children (ages 5 and 8) several times, and we’ve always had a great experience. She’s reliable, communicative, and easy to work with. Our kids immediately connected with her and are always excited when she comes over. She does a great job keeping them engaged, whether they’re playing games, reading, or using their imaginations. We especially appreciate how present and attentive she is with them. It’s clear she genuinely enjoys working with children. We trust her completely and would happily recommend her to other families.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
