I am a hardworking and caring Latina who has 3 years of professional babysitter and nannying experience working with children from as young as 1-month to as old as 12 years old. I worked for a childcare company where I quickly learned how to maintain a calm, patient and loving presence in order to guide children in sharpening interdependence, listening skills and build their confidence to ensure they can shine bright with authenticity and happiness. I am a person who has clear communication skills and likes to check in with parents every step of the way as they gain trust with me as a caregiver. I am reliable child care provider who seeks a respectful workplace that pays a dignified wage for the hard work that often goes unnoticed in the caregiving field. Moreover as a sitter/nanny, I also cleaned homes and have years of experience tidying up the places of people in order to ensure their homes have a clean and fresh energy for them to thrive.

$24 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in New York, NY

Hello! My name is Jocelyn, and I am a 23 year old student studying at New York City college of Technology. I speak Spanish and have over six years of experience in child supervision! My journey began as a summer camp counselor at the age of 17, later becoming a afterschool counselor. As an elementary school counselor my responsibilities have been to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all the children, leading arts and crafts activities and providing homework assistance. Watching them learn, grow, and get excited about new things makes working with children enjoyable. I also have over 2 years of sitting experience! Growing up as the oldest sister of two and cousin to two younger kids, I’ve always been a nurturing role model. I am fully vaccinated and willing to provide proof. I hope to hear from you soon, thank you!!

Archie 9 reviews
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Archie, a 33-year-old artist & nanny living in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks for taking the time to read a bit more about my work as a care professional! I have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, neurodivergent kids, and children with physical disabilities. I am well-versed in paced bottle feeding, developmental milestones, potty training, and approaches outlined in essential texts like "Big Little Feelings." To this work, I bring my own beliefs in time spent outdoors, laughter, emotional intelligence, self-expression, curiosity & the importance of arts/creativity! I'm an active play participant *with* the child - we can travel far and wide in our imaginations! When things get tough, I am here to listen, validate, and help find solutions that honor the child's needs and the healthy boundaries of other children and adults. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I also carry the belief that all children should be nurtured to live their truth in all that they do! It is important to mention that I am transgender, so I would only be able to work with families who can embrace that. While this is a truth about me, personally (and is something children are often curious about), I never "push" that idea on children or try to persuade them to be anything other than who they are! Playtime is serious business for me & I am always thinking of new ways to help kids discover, learn, & grow through our relationship. Put simply, I will care for your children, your home, and family as if they were my own. I hope to meet you & your family soon! Archie

Archie is the best nanny we have ever worked with. He is professional, responsible, sensitive to a kid's individual needs and our 3 year old just loves him.  Archie is a mature and communicative carer, and not only models that with his interactions with us parents, but also with his daily interactions with our kid.  Days with him are full of play, outdoor adventures, and helping out kid discover and interact with the world.  He centers the child in their days together, does frequent check-ins about their feelings and what is coming next, and remains calm and solution-oriented in tough spots. Archie is also an incredibly helpful person who has done things like empty the dishwasher, put away laundry etc. without being explicitly tasked with them.  We would always be happy to have Archie back in our lives, caring for our children.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
