Hi! My name is Miel, and I am a 20-year-old student at the University of Texas at Austin, where I study Health and Society on the pre-med track. I'm from New York and currently live in Brooklyn! I have been babysitting for several years and have experience caring for children of different ages, including helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, organizing activities, managing bedtime routines, and ensuring children feel safe and supported while their parents are away.
In addition to babysitting, I worked with first graders through The GO Project, a nonprofit educational program in New York City. In this role, I helped students with reading and math, supported classroom activities, encouraged positive behavior, and built meaningful relationships with children from diverse backgrounds. This experience strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to connect with young children in a fun and engaging way.
I am CPR-aware, highly responsible, organized, and dependable. As a pre-med student with experience volunteering in pediatric healthcare settings, I am comfortable remaining calm under pressure and attentive to children's needs. I love arts and crafts, reading, outdoor activities, games, and helping children learn and build confidence. Families describe me as warm, mature, trustworthy, and someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with kids. My goal is always to create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and cared for.
