Hi there! My name is Marisa and I have been caring for children and animals since I was only 10 years old myself. I’m now 25, graduated from the University of Virginia, and living in Brooklyn. As for my experience, I volunteered in 2-3 year old daycare classes throughout middle and high school, have babysat countless family friends children, and I even babysat my high school principals kids! I currently have a three year old niece that I love spending time with, and several newborn baby cousins I help watch when I am home. I have also been a middle school camp counselor for 5 years, and do tutoring with high school students. I am an active dog sitter and walker, and am happy to include pet care in the services I offer. Hi! A little about me, my passion for working with kids started early. All through high school, I coached cheerleading for 70 girls ages 7–14. In college, I nannied and tutored for a family of eight children ranging from ages 7–18, which taught me patience, organization, and creativity in keeping kids engaged. I’m also a proud aunt to two little boys (a 3-month-old and a 2-year-old), so I know firsthand the joy and energy that come with caring for little ones at different stages. Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals—dogs and cats—and even studied to earn my vet tech license in high school, which gave me valuable skills in responsibility and care. Spending time with kids is something I genuinely love. With my mom being a 3rd-grade teacher, I’ve grown up in an environment centered around children, learning, and nurturing.
