$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 4 families in Staten Island, NY

Former 2 year Aupair here :) I took care of a one year old and 4 year old at the same time. Tasks were: Morning routine, Make breakfast & lunch, driving to school, nap time, homework and playing. Also took care of 3 kids at the same time: (6,8,11 years old). Tasks were mainly driving and homework. Also taking care of 2 dogs (feeding, walking, playing). 2 baby boys ( year 1&2) Morning and Night Routine, driving, preparing food, often watched the baby’s over night. I love every age group can’t decide which one was the best. I grew up in a big family with 3 younger and one older sibling, so I’m used to taking care of more than just one kid. I also love animals and am happy to take care of them too

I’d like to share my experience with Ogechi, who worked with our family as an au pair. Ogechi was a reliable and caring presence in our home, looking after our two toddlers. She was adept at balancing the various aspects of her role, from childcare to helping out with meals. Ogechi had a calm and positive approach to her work, which was particularly appreciated. She was good with our children, engaging them in activities and ensuring they had a structured day. Her ability to adapt to our family’s needs and schedule without much fuss made things smoother for us. One of the things we loved most about having Ogechi with us was her ability to just ‘get’ our family. She was incredibly adaptable, whether it was dealing with last-minute schedule changes or coming up with creative solutions whenever the kids threw us curveballs. Her positive attitude and calm presence were contagious, making our home a happier place. Ogechi became more than just an au pair; she was part of our family. Any family would be lucky to have Ogechi join them. She’s truly one of a kind, and we miss her dearly.

Daria 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy watching children learn, explore, and grow. I bring a unique background in music and the arts to create a fun and nurturing environment. In Ukraine, I taught piano, worked with children on vocal training, and even conducted a children’s choir. I also have theater experience and earned my degree as a music director. I’ve been babysitting since 2015, caring for children from ages 2 to 13 as well as teenagers. Every summer, I participated in summer camps as a counselor and helped develop camp programs. I’m fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, and English, which allows me to communicate easily with families. Additionally, I’m trained in CPR and First Aid, ensuring a safe and caring environment for your little ones.

Daria was an absolutely lovely sitter and I can’t recommend her enough. She was extremely flexible and generous with her time and always eager to lend a hand. Whether it be taking my son home from school on short notice or staying a bit later than planned, she truly shows the utmost concern and thoughtfulness when it comes to being there for those she cares for. Daria is extremely sweet, friendly and has the capacity to get along with seemingly everyone, she’s an excellent chatter, listener, and even teacher, being quick to answer all the questions an 8 y/o may have and even including the occasional piano lesson! I can’t say enough good things about Daria and her services and I’m sure you will find her just as amazing as I have!

Amy 2 reviews
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi - My name is Amy, I am offering child care, senior care, and household services. I love working with Children and Seniors. I have had experience since I was 14 years old. I would babysit the children in my area and was highly recommended at a young age. I offer help with school work, activities, errands, pick ups, drop offs to school or other activities. I also am a great caregiver for seniors, I have experience in bathing, assisting in walking and a great companionship partner. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean, laundry and run errands.

I wish i did not move so I could still have Amy as help with my children. She was a light that lit up my children's face as soon as they seen her. She cared for my 3 month old daughter and also babysat my 6 year old son while I worked night shifts. She was always reliable and on time. She was always willing to help even on short notice. Anyone that’s lucky enough to hire Amy is getting an angel.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
