Taylor 1 review
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in nannying, babysitting, and infant/toddler care in both home and hospital settings. Caregiving has always been part of my life—before nursing school, I worked with babies and toddlers, and over the years I’ve also supported seniors, families in the community, and plenty of pets. I’m currently in BirthSmarter training and starting the path toward becoming a nurse-midwife, so working closely with families feels like a natural fit. I’m creative, patient, and very communicative, and I love bringing a calm, nurturing presence to the home. I’m looking for a steady full-time role with a Brooklyn family where I can offer both reliability and genuine warmth.

“Taylor has been an incredible help to our family. She cared for our toddler and our senior dog with a level of calm competence that immediately put us at ease. Her nursing background shows in the way she notices small details and communicates clearly, but she also has this creative, gentle energy that our daughter responded to right away. She was punctual, respectful of our home, and genuinely present—no phone scrolling, no rushing through the evening routine. I appreciated how confident and patient she was during bedtime, and how thoughtfully she handled our dog’s medication schedule. We’d gladly work with her again. Anyone who hires her will feel lucky to have her on their team.”

I’m energetic sitter with around 5 years of experience in childcare. I’m currently a preschool teacher during the week. I also do specialize in working with special needs children. I love doing puzzles and reading with children. During the spring I love taking them out to do different activities in the city. I’m open to any overnight jobs where any extra chores would need to be complete. Feel free to message me and I can send you some references. Thank you for trusting me with your child!

I’ve cared for various children ranging from infancy to 16 years old. I was a Barnard Babysitter during my years there (2[removed]) and have nannied full time since 2023. I have a degree in psychology and a minor in religion. I’m patient, kind, curious, playful, communicative, responsible, firm, and big on checklists. I like to ensure children feel free to explore and learn but also maintain safety and parents wishes. My experience includes taking children to and picking up from school and extra curriculars, preparing meals, bath time, playtime, homework, park and zoo trips and more. I essentially raised the last child I worked with from 10 months until almost 4 years old when he started school full time. O was his primary caretaker M-F 7:30 am - 6 pm and helped him to walk, talk, eat solids, potty training, learn manners, cleanliness, and all the developmental phases from infancy through toddlerhood. I’m comfortable helping with light housework and errands and also have extensive experience pet sitting for cats, dogs and rodents. I’ve had great relationships with parents and children alike and continue to be in touch with all families I’ve worked for in the past. I aim to ensure that what needs to get done gets done but that we have some fun along the way and alleviate parents of some of the many responsibilities you have.

Liz 1 review
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hello Nanny Family, I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and fun! I have a degree in Mathematics, a minor in Adventure Education, I can swim, drive, and I speak English (only). Happy to do household cleaning and laundry. I like working with kids, I find it very rewarding to help guide them to do something new, such as a hard a math problem, a handstand, or an authentic apology. I'm looking for a stable reoccurring job that feeling right for me, the kids and the family. I started working with kids when I was in high school as a baby sitter. Then I was a camp counselor at a Girl Scout Camp I grew up at and I love so much! Since then I have Nannied for families, and babysat. I have worked with children starting at 6 weeks and up. I have also worked at various gyms with kids. An aerial arts gym leading them through aerial silks and aerial hammock, and an American Ninja Warrior Gym, teaching gymnastics and such. In my spare time, I do various circus arts, partner acrobatics, hiking, swimming in the ocean, rock climbing, aerial silks, handstands, and Slacklining. I also sing and play ukulele, crochet, do crafts, weave baskets, and read. One thing you should know about me is l like to think of myself as a fun, but I also do not condone bratty behavior. I would like to think I am quite the opposite to a pushover in that regard. My skills include my playfulness, tutoring, and timeliness. I am adult and child First Aid, CPR and AED certified. Fully vaccinated. I do not smoke. I am licensed to drive. I'm based out of Park Slope and am open for interviews. Have a lovely day! Liz

“Liz was our nanny for daughters aged <18 months and 6 years respectively. She was with us until the younger one started pre-school at 18 months and then continued as a periodic sitter for several months more. Her responsibility was solely childcare (no food prep, driving etc.) and they were either at home or went out to the park or for walks around the neighborhood. She was a wonderful, kind, responsible (punctual to the dot!), and joyful personality whom the girls absolutely adored and viewed more as a playmate and friend. Her acrobatic skills were especially a treat as she got the girls being active and doing tricks, which even to this day remains something they enjoy doing (they are now 5 & 10). She also brought lots of fun costumes to play dress up with and they never failed to have a rousingly entertaining time. I highly recommend Liz and I think she'd be ideal especially for very active and creative kids.”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
