I originally grew up in northeastern Massachusetts raised by my Ecuadorian father and Portuguese mother. Because of this, I am fluent in Spanish as a second language and can get by fairly well with Portuguese, though i'm practicing to improve that skill. Hello! My name is Jonah and I'm a 20 year old NYU student from Miami, FL. I am studying finance at NYU Stern with a focus on the entertainment industry. I grew up with a sister who was six years younger than me, and often took care of her while my parents were busy. I've been to summer camp from ages 7-14, was a counselor-in-training at 15, then a counselor at 16. Having been both a camper and a counselor, I know what it is like to be the kid and the adult in caretaking scenarios. I've been lifeguard certified and CPR-Pro certified, having lifeguarded at the camp I mentioned. I'm a great cook, asian cuisines being my favorite to make. I'm happy to help kids with their homework, or give tutoring sessions, especially in writing or math. I play guitar, and would gladly offer practice lessons for kids who are starting to play. Hi! I'm currently a college student majoring in psychology on the pre-med track. I've always had a deep love for working with children and animals, and my ultimate goal is to work in the medical field helping children. Currently, I have experience caring for an adorable 9-month-old and I'm excited to grow my range of experience with kids of different ages. For the past couple of years, I have been working in an Assisted Living facility, supporting patients with dementia. This experience has truly grown my sense of empathy and patience.
