Hi! I’m Skye!😊 I’ve been working with kids for a long time. I started babysitting my younger cousins around age 12–13, mostly kids under 5 and infants. From there, I helped out at my great-aunt’s in-home daycare whenever I didn’t have school and sometimes after. I babysat a lot throughout middle school and high school for families in Twinsburg and for family members. My senior year, I worked in an after-school program, and during 12th grade I was also an assistant after-school childcare director at the Carl Reminderville Athletic Club. The summer after I graduated, I worked full-time at an in-home daycare called Kayla Cares for Kids as an assistant daycare teacher. Since then, I’ve gone back to babysitting and nannying. I’m now a sophomore at the University of Akron majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Child Development. I also work as a substitute paraprofessional in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District, mostly in elementary schools. I have all my background checks through the state of Ohio, and one of my classes has me observing in an elementary school this semester too. I really love working with kids and feel very comfortable with all ages.

I started my journey working with school aged kids, but realized I seemed to thrive working with younger children. I decided to work in preschools and found my passion there, but I really enjoy working with children of any age. I have spent time as an intern for a children’s choir and I have a vast knowledge of music. I have also spent time working at a sports camp for young girls, so I have some sports knowledge as well!
