Hello! My name is Andrea. I've been professionally working for different childcare organizations and schools for over 15 years now. I have experience working with children of all ages, including toddlers and infants in both an educational and non-educational setting. In college I would babysit/nanny to supplement my student loans. I enjoyed the flexibility of the schedule as well as getting to work with different families. I graduated with a bachelor’s in Physical Activity and Exercise, Health Sciences, and a Master’s in Education. I taught full time for Portland Public Schools for 8 years but have recently decided to explore other career options. I love playing outdoors and being active, but I'm a native Oregonian so I also enjoy rainy day activities when I'm restricted to the indoors. I’m a good cook and leave a clean kitchen when done. *I’m up to date on COVID and Flu shots. Hope to hear from you!

I am originally from Tennessee. I am the a proud mom of a 9 year old daughter, a 24 year old daughter and a 30 year old son! I have spent the majority of my life caring for and raising up children. I have nannied consistently for one family for the last 9 years, ranging over the years from full time to part time. When I started there was only one child and now there are 3! I am a lover of humans, tiny humans, animals, nature, gardening, and books. I use a peaceful, loving approach to childcare and love to just be silly! I would love to hang out with your little ones...i enjoy snuggling, hugs, reading, make-believe, language development, arts & crafts and music & dance. I am also willing and available to negotiate rates for help with any aspect of home management: be it cooking, caring for pets, cleaning, laundry or organizing! I am also open and accepting of blended families ♡ I owned a cleaning business for 10 years in Nashville, before moving to Washington. I have enjoyed many lovely, constructive interpersonal relationships with my clients throughout the years. I greatly enjoy networking in my community and building meaningful long-lasting relationships. I can also be flexible with my rates, depending on your budget. Finding the right fit and building authentic relationships are my utmost priority. I'm available for a part time schedule and can be super flexible. I would love the option to integrate my 9 year old into our care arrangements, although not necessary. She is very personable & enjoys making friends of all ages. I can provide abundant contact information for character references or you can have a look at my LinkedIn profile, where several of my clients have left professional recommendations. I would love the opportunity to meet and greet with you and your kiddos! I look forward to the enrichment of each of our lives as we join journeys :)

Dawn is fantastic! We will definitely hire her again.

Hi- My names Mai. I came back from teaching in Tokyo 4 years ago now. I've been working with kids from around 14 which is when I started babysitting and teaching abacus. I've been teaching abacus both in person and online for the past 10+ years but it's fun to watch kids outside an educational environment. I'm fluent in Japanese and English and am always down for outdoor adventures like swimming, biking, berry picking, or just going to the park. But I can always enjoy a good book or movie. I work 8-5 as a PM during the weekday but I’m free outside of those hours if you have a concert or date night. Hopefully, I'm able to offer some assistance to you outside of these hours. you for your understanding and reading this far!

Mai was amazing with our daughter! She showed up on time, communicated well throughout, and had a very calming presence. Our daughter really enjoyed the time with her and my wife and I felt at ease while we were out. Would definitely recommend!

Hi there! I have a bachelors in both English and Social Justice from Dominican University of California, and am currently a JD Candidate at Lewis &Clark Law School. I grew up watching my siblings before moving on to paid jobs with family friends and cousins, and when I started college I started nannying more seriously. When I lived in LA, I worked with several different families for small weekly jobs and worked with one family four to five days a week, taking their four kids to numerous activities and after school events. Since moving to Portland two years ago, I spent the last year and a half nannying for a family with 10 year old twins. I have experience working with infants up to 12 years old, and after tutoring high school kids I’m sure I could handle teenagers as well. Let me know if I can answer any questions, I can’t wait to work with you!

Kids loved her. My older son said he wanted her to babysit for “30 weeks”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
