I’ve been working with kiddos for a long time, with a specialty for those with behavioral health issues, developmental delays, in/from foster care, adopted, etc. I currently work as a DSP for two agencies in Portland, for kids and adults with special needs. I’ve worked as a live-in nanny, and I am generally the friend asked to babysit/housesit/petsit bc I’m naturally nurturing and patient, and I genuinely get a kick out of learning everyone’s quirks, obsessions, needs, communication styles, etc. I am not a stranger at all to high stress moments, guiding re-regulation, and conflict resolution. Starting at the age of 12, I have taken care of all my cousins when they were infants. I have since worked as a caretaker professionally and in my off-time. I have also held a previous position as a camp counselor for a grade school summer camp when I was 15 yrs old. I have exuberant energy and a passion for care.
