Yelena Happy Valley
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi my name is Yelena I grew up in a multicultural family where I learned the importance of responsibility, kindness, and helping others. From a young age, my mother taught me how to keep things clean and organized, and I also learned to cook and enjoy preparing meals for others. I’m a great listener, always willing to support the people around me, and I bring a positive attitude to everything I do. As a mom, I have a 17-year-old who is graduating this year, a 5-year-old son with autism who has taught me patience and understanding, and a very energetic 3-year-old. Through raising my children, I’ve gained hands-on experience with different ages, personalities, and needs, and I truly enjoy caring for others—whether it’s children, seniors, or helping with everyday tasks

Portland
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Clackamas, OR

Hi- My name is Annabelle and I am 25 years old and I have lived in Portland for about a year. I am looking to grow my experience working with children so someday become a child therapist or school counselor. I have been a babysitter for about 10 years, starting with my younger cousins and working up to full time nanny. I am comfortable and have experience with all ages of children from infants to older kids. My responsibilities have been tutoring children, playing and doing crafts, and even taking kids outdoors to hike, climb or bike. I love the outdoors and have taught young kids how to ski as a ski instructor for a season. I also have experience being a live-in nanny in Spain, teaching English, doing household cleaning, cooking and running errands. I love all animals and have both a cat and dog of my own, so I would love to take care of animals as well as children. I also am CPR certified and have my wilderness first aid certification.

I am a graduate from Lewis and Clark college. i graduated with a bachelors in Biology. I have watched children at my aunts church occasionally and have babysat for a few families long term. I have 3+ years experience with children as young as 4 months old. I also have experience with children that have learning disabilities and down syndrome. I love to babysit because I plan on becoming an OBGYN or pediatrician. I just love to be around children and help then grow and learn. Also I am a stickler for the outdoors!! I am also First aid/CPR certified and BLS certified as well.

She was calm and competent with a variety of ages (1-16.) All the kids (and I) agreed we would want to hire her again. We have a little playground at our apartments and I appreciated that she spent time outside with them. Recommend.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
