Hello! My name is Sarah and I would love to work with your family! I am currently living in Salem and work in Portland where I manage a dance studio and work with children of all ages. I love to dance, be outdoors, cook, and listen to music. I am the second oldest of five siblings and I have always loved to be around kids. I have ample babysitting and petsitting experience from helping with my siblings growing up, family friends, and families I have worked with through Urban Sitters. I am comfortable with all ages, driving, petsitting, house sitting, and doing household chores.

Being brought up in a large family, I have always felt a deep relevance to the world of childhood. Being around and working with many ages I discovered a deep connection to and strong interest in the earliest stages of human life. I find it a profound privilege to provide the gentle, attentive presence that babies need to feel safe and secure as they begin to explore their world. In my most recent role as a 1:4 infant caregiver, I had the honor of caring for a group of four babies starting when they were just seven weeks old. Being a consistent part of their first year allowed me to bond deeply with each child and support their unique developmental leaps with patience and compassion. I believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and nurtured with individualized care that respects their pace, personality, and at home lifestyle. I am now transitioning primarily to in-home care to offer families a more personal, dedicated experience. I’m currently a student at LBCC and working part-time in cleaning services, and I’m now offering occasional babysitting as well! I have worked for 3 years at a preschool and have been babysitting since I was 12 years old! I have exprience working with kids on the spectrum, behaviors, and sensory! I also have my CPR and first aid license! I’m patient, attentive, and skilled at creating calm, engaging environments tailored to each child. In addition to childcare, I have experience caring for cats, dogs, goats, and chickens, which has taught me responsibility, adaptability, and a gentle touch with all animals I have a heart for caring for kids and would love to help out families who need a dependable, gentle, and responsible sitter. Although I do not have professional experience in childcare and pet care, I grew up babysitting and caring for not only my sibling and pets, but also for many other families children and animals.
