Hi, I’m Lauren! I’ve been babysitting since middle school and have spent years caring for children of all ages, from newborns through teenagers. I also helped care for my nieces from infancy, so I’m very comfortable with bottles, diaper changes, naps, meals, and all the little routines that come with caring for young children. I have a B.S. in Biology and spent eight years working in chemical manufacturing before taking a break to live in Barcelona and study Spanish through full immersion. It might seem like an unusual path, but it taught me to stay calm, adapt quickly, and enjoy learning—qualities I bring with me when caring for kids. My favorite part of childcare is getting to watch kids learn and discover new things. Pet care: Dogs, cats, and other household pets. I'm happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and making sure your pets stay comfortable while you're away. House sitting: Bringing in mail and packages, watering plants, taking out trash, rotating lights, and helping keep your home secure and well cared for while you're gone. (I also don't mind light child- or pet-related tidying as part of a sitting job.) I'm dependable, patient, and easygoing. I believe in following each family's routines and parenting style, communicating clearly, and creating a calm environment where children and pets feel safe and comfortable. I was previously Red Cross trained in CPR and First Aid (certification has since lapsed), and safety is always a priority.
