Malia 2 reviews
Pleasant View
$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Charlotte, TN

Hello! I am a soon-to-be physician assistant looking for some short-term jobs before I start working full time as a PA. With my education and prior experience as an EMT, I am extremely comfortable with caring for people with medical conditions and am extensively trained in basic and advanced life support for both children and adults. Therefore, I would be a reliable individual in any emergency situation. I have been babysitting and working with children in different settings, both paid and unpaid, since I was in middle school. Most recently, I nannied for several families on a part-time basis from 2[removed]. I absolutely love working with children and getting to encourage the development of their growing minds! I think my personal emphasis on kindness and hard work are excellent traits for children to look up to and eventually implement into their own lives. This will make them adults who greatly impact society in the future, and I think that is one of the most rewarding aspects of childcare! Also, I have had some brief experiences with pet sitting and have grown up taking care of dogs of my own. Currently, I have a 1 year old lab-pit bull mix who is so much fun!

I am an owner of a Preschool that has been in business for 17 years. Malia worked for me as a teacher and I can vouch that she is amazing with children! She is patient, kind and has tons of energy! She has fun with kids and is also very attentive to their needs. I recommend her to anyone who is looking for reliable and quality child care. You and your kiddos will love her!

Catalena Clarksville
$18 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Catalena, and I am a 23-year-old college student. I am currently in my junior year studying early childhood education at Austin Peay State University. I grew up in a large family, surrounded by numerous children. Multitasking and monitoring the children was a common practice in my family. From the ages of 14 to 18, I often spent nights watching over my nieces and nephews. At eighteen, I began working as a weekend au pair for a family of three, which included one nine-year-old and two children with developmental differences. My responsibilities included caring for the children, cooking, and performing light housekeeping duties. I held this position for five months before moving. Subsequently, my sister and brother-in-law had five children, and I moved into their house. This arrangement allows me to attend college in this area. One child requires special attention due to significant needs. Having lived with them for 4 years, I am continually involved in childcare, which comes naturally to me.

Shelby 1 review
Nashville
$24 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! My name is Shelby and I’m offering childcare and household services. *I’m currently working full time with a wonderful family and not looking for extra work currently- I’m keeping my account active for potential need in the future. I’m from a family of 15 so I have been babysitting and taking care of children the majority of my life. I love working with any and all ages and have experience with every age as well. I also work as house help - cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, meal prep, etc…Whatever you need help with! I am comfortable with any and all animals. I have experience pet sitting and house sitting if that is something you’re in need of also.

Our family was blessed to have Shelby as a nanny / helper for seven months before we had to move away for a promotion. She is patient, a hard worker, just incredible with kids, and beyond helpful with meals and the house. We were in complete disarray before Shelby came to save us and we have been elevated and delighted to have her. She is reliable, showed up consistently and goes above and beyond. We joke that we had found Mary Poppins, but I've never been so comfortable with my childcare situation, and my kids adore her. 10/10- she will be missed and her next family will be lucky to have her.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
