Hi all! I am a native austinite who just recently moved back to the area. I have been babysitting/ nannying off and on since I was a teenager. I love taking care of children; specifically getting to know their different personalities, likes, and dislikes, and encouraging their imagination as much as possible. Please feel free to ask me any questions! Thank you! : )

Hello! My names Alexis and I’m a recent graduate from Concordia university in Austin. I was on the tennis team and love to stay active, through sports, games and exercise. I hope to share my love for outdoors and sports, but if it’s too hot outside, I have great arts and crafts skills, I grew up making masterpieces out of pipe cleaners and pompoms:)I also love to read and learn, and share those passions with the children I sit for. I have had 8+ years of experience in child care ranging from infants to young teens. I am comfortable with all ages! I love to cook so meal prepping or cooking for them is no problem:) I also have plenty of experience with animals, so if you have a furry friend that is perfectly fine!

I moved to Austin in 2019 from the Northeast. Prior to my relocation, I was a teacher (two/three year olds) at a Private Preschool in New Jersey for more than 13 years. I am a certified infant/toddler teacher and have also taught English as a Second Language in a public elementary school system. Additionally, I have worked for many years as a reading/writing tutor and a teacher of theatre arts to elementary and middle school students. I have numerous years of experience working with children, ages newborn to late teens. In addition, I have raised three children (two grown, one teenaged). I am well versed in developmental milestones and my specific area of expertise is working with children who have different learning capabilities, notably children on the spectrum and/or with developmental delays. I continue to work in Austin as a preschool teacher and tutor for elementary school children. In addition, I run neurodiversity consulting programs and staff development sessions for local private schools. Because of my career in teaching, I am required to renew my certification in CPR and First Aid every two years and I annually accrue 40 plus hours of developmental/industry standards training. I am fully vaccinated (including all COVID vaccines.) I adore engaging with children, am trustworthy, dependable and timely. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children!

Kristin was really great with our kids! Warm and competent, her childcare experience and professionalism is really evident.

I'm 40 and responsible, CPR certified. (October 2024h) I’m also a former gymnastics coach. Fully vaccinated with proof. I've had many years of coaching gymnastics, babysitting and nannying. I've traveled domestically with families in the past as well. Common sense and the ability to act quickly are two qualities that I think are my strongest assets. Outgoing, playful and sensitive also make me able to relate with children, and have their trust which I find an important quality in a nanny. I’ve taught gymnastics in LA, Shanghai, Chicago and even Maui. Happy to show some of my “ handstands around the world photos”. I recently did pod style learning where I had 20 kindergarteners doing online school. All of them had different schools. So, I pick up on online learning quickly. We recently did a review of each other at my full time job - this was one that truly stood out for me. "I noticed how much he cares about the kids during classes and shift meeting. He's fun and silly and he cares about the kids not getting hurt on an emotional level too."

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
