Hi! My name is Shannon. I am a single and have an older daughter who is going to be 32yrs. old and have two beautiful granddaughters who are 10 and 11 years old. I absolutely love children of all ages and have a strong passion for all animals. Before covid I had a small farm in Wimberley, Tx. with goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, geese, etc ... I currently live in Devine, Tx. I enjoy the outdoors and being with nature. Zoraida

San Antonio
$18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Hondo, TX

Hi! I’m Zoraida — a 20-year-old college student majoring in Interior Design, and I absolutely love working with kids. I have two younger siblings (ages 7 and 8), so I’ve been around children most of my life and understand how to care for them with patience and creativity. I started babysitting for friends and family at age 12, and I’ve gained plenty of experience with kids of different ages since then. I’m happy to help with homework, crafting, and fun activities to keep kids engaged. I can also assist with light housekeeping, organizing, and tidying up around the home. Just a heads-up: I’m allergic to cats, but I’m totally fine working in homes with dogs! I’d love the chance to connect and help support your family. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to learn more about my availability!

Kyra San Antonio
$16 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Kyra! I'm a 20-year-old soon to be college student looking for a change in pace. I moved to San Antonio in September 2024! I have three solid years of childcare and elder care experience combined. I've always had a soft spot for babies and children, along with a passion for helping others. I was in a college-level Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program during my last year of high school, and I've worked two patient-centered healthcare jobs since. My personal experience includes caring for my mother, who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and caring for my niece (who has austim) and two nephews (who both have ADHD) during summers and weekends when they were all under 12. I'm now looking for something more hands-on as I begin pursuing my degree in radiography. I'm thrilled to gain more experience and take every opportunity to learn and love

Jessie San Antonio
$15 per hour for 1 child

Greetings, My Name is Jessie. As a mother of two amazing daughters ages 27 and 22, I have been caring for children and infants in my personal life as well as babysitting children and infants for 38 years. I am a licensed cosmetologist of 16 years, and I would love to include complimentary haircuts and basic grooming for my clients as a little extra service. One of the things that really sets me apart from others is that I go above and beyond for my clients whenever possible. I founded and operated a farm sanctuary in Washington state for over a decade, and I have experience with just about every animal you can think of from cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats. I can clean up a barn, braid horses' hair and administer meds, and keep records of feeding schedules. I can transport animals to vet appts and handle just about any emergency situation with calming energy and knowledge of proper safety procedures to keep your animal and the humans in my care safe. I am just as comfortable on the farm as I am sitting at the dinner table helping multiple children with homework and projects. I am an artist and I absolutely love doing crafts with my clients. It does not matter if they are 1 or 100, I will find some fun and enriching crafts for them to present to you when you return. I also do crafts with the animals when they are up for it. I have cared for many elderly clients as a hair stylist which involved me going to do house calls and visits in the hospitals. I am available to take elderly clients to Mass on Sundays with me at St Brigid if they would like. I am Catholic however I will never bring up religion, politics or push my beliefs on any client. I am extremely respectful of other p religious and cultural beliefs. If my client requests to go to the Mosque, Synagogue, Temple or whichever place of worship they prefer, I will be more than happy to take them and sit quietly and respectfully for as long as they need. I want my clients to feel safe in my presence always and know they can approach me for help with anything no matter how silly they may feel asking. . I treat my clients with the kindness, compassion, patience and understanding, I would expect for my own loved ones and as I would want to be cared for if our roles were reversed.

Bryce San Antonio
$10 per hour for 1 child

I have 5 kiddos myself age 8, 5,3,1, and 9months Two are autistic level 2 and 3 and one with adhd Having patience is definitely in my books and multitasking. Having children on the spectrum who are non verbal you learn a lot especially about the hidden cues they give and I have taken classes to better educate myself and what I can do better and earned some certificates. Children especially babies to toddlers love being around me due to the love I give off and calmness, I treat and take care of every child as if they were my own. I also respect any wishes and rules that each family has. I am here to help in any way I can wether it’s entertaining the children for parents to have a date night or watch children while work has to get done , or be that over night sitter cause sleep is needed. I’ve been in all those positions and understand it takes a lot of help. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask me anything. Thank you.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
