One trait about me is that I genuinely find joy in caring for others. I love to be able to help others out in any way I can. I have taken care of kids within the ages of 4-13 plenty of times. This has been through paid jobs such as babysitting, or simply watching a child at an adult event. I care deeply for the safety and well being of all kids, especially the ones that are in my care. I have previously worked at a fast food restaurant, and one of my top priorities was that all child customer had coloring books and hats to ensure they were happy and satisfied. Another previous job of mine was at a veterinary hospital as a boarding associate. It was my job to take care of all the cats and dogs in boarding. This included walking, feeding, administering medication, and cleaning for pets. I have also done multiple jobs as pet sitting. In the past, I have taught three years of gardening classes at Durham Elementary for every grade level, including pre-K. It was a gift to witness the enthusiasm and wonder of young minds experiencing food grown through their influence. I tutored in English and facilitated an after school program at a middle school in Northern California. I am a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and am currently working on a degree program in Spiritual Metaphysics. I have been using my Ayurvedic degree to support families in realigning their kitchens to promote a sattvic lifestyle because how we engage with food overflows into every aspect of our lives. The kitchen is the center for bringing in homegrown herbs, local produce, and for cultivating a positive mindset through interactions with food and people.
