Alex $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Alex, and I am an English teacher looking for some extra summer work. I have been babysitting children for families off and on since 2008. My experience includes the following long-term clients: - A family with a school-aged brother and sister - A family with two twin boys in middle school - A family with four boys ranging in age from 2-10 I have also babysat infants for families on occasion. I am very energetic, enthusiastic, and enjoy many interests and activities that are engaging for children, including: recreational sports, storytelling, arts, playing music, learning and teaching new games (especially board games and card games), as well as playing with building and skill toys. Also, thanks to my background as a teacher, I enjoy teaching and tutoring. I started as a babysitter in high school. I realized that I enjoyed working with and caring for children when my little brother was born when I was 15 years old. In 2008, I volunteered for the High School Big Brother Big Sister, where I won the "Best High School Big Brother" in Houston award. I am also a cat owner and grew up caring for both cats can dogs. For household services, I can clean, do laundry, vacuum, and wash dishes. I am proactive when it comes to tidying and cleaning up messes. Just show me where the cleaning supplies are! Thank you for considering me. *At the moment, I do not have a car and rely on ride-sharing services or the Metro, so I am currently looking for babysitting opportunities in the Montrose/Medical Center/Rice Village Area **references can be provided upon request

Elizabeth 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Elizabeth! I offer child care services. I was I was an assistant teacher for 2 years, for various age groups at Primrose Schooling! I now am a senior at Texas Southern University. Where I was also a participant in the Junior Achievement program, where we went to middle schools and taught young ladies about entrepreneurship and how to build a kid friendly business plan:) I love being a babysitter, I first started watching my little cousins around the age of 11. I used to be the kid who wouldn’t mind changing diapers, or making them giggle so they wouldn’t be in their parents hair all day, and nonetheless helping out where I was allowed too.

Elizabeth has always been a great babysitter for our 3 children ages 1, 5 and 12. They love her so much. Her number one priority with my children was always safety first with tons of love and care. She followed all of our house rules and is very respectful. Elizabeth even was a tremendous help with our dog Hercules. She is our go to person anytime we’re looking for a parents night out!

Idali $17 per hour for 1 child

Ive taken care of children and pets for as long as I can remember. My parents were always working growing up, therefore, I had to care for my baby brother since the age of 5. I basically raised him. I’m 25 and he’s 20 now by the way. I’ve also baby sat my niece and nephew and a few neighbors children growing up. As far as pet experience, I’m a vet tech with ample animal experience/knowledge. Cleaning and household upkeep is a major part of being a vet tech as well. But even if I hadn’t became a vet tech, I’d still have the knowledge/experience because I grew up in a Hispanic household where cleaning is mandatory at a very young age.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
