Hi families! My name is Alyssa, and I’m a college student with a genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn, grow, and have fun. I currently work at a childcare center, where I care for children daily and help create a safe, loving, and positive environment for them. My responsibilities include supervising children, planning fun and educational activities, helping with daily routines, assisting with meals, and making sure each child feels comfortable and cared for.
I also completed a two-year Early Childhood Development and Education program in high school, where I learned about child development, lesson planning, age-appropriate activities, and positive behavior management. In addition to my professional experience, I babysat for a family on a regular weekly basis for about a year, which helped me build strong relationships with both children and parents. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, communication, creativity, and understanding that every child has their own personality and needs.
I enjoy coming up with activities that keep children engaged, whether that means doing arts and crafts, reading stories, playing outside, helping with learning activities, or simply letting them use their imagination. I’m also comfortable helping with children's routines, preparing meals and snacks, and keeping their spaces clean and organized. As a college student, I’m looking for opportunities to continue doing something I truly enjoy while building connections with families in my community.
Most importantly, I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children in someone else's care. I want every family I work with to feel that their children are safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.
