Alexa 4 reviews
$28 per hour for 1 child

I’m a dependable, patient, and lively nanny with more than five years of experience working with families, and I’ve always loved being around kids. I focus on making sure children have fun, are well-structured, safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. I believe in being competent, consistent, setting age-appropriate limits, being creative, and playing. I stay calm when things get hectic, manage busy schedules, and build strong connections with both children and parents. My time with over 30 animal rescues and fostering more than 300 dogs has really honed my patience, attention to detail, and ability to handle energetic situations.

I can highly reccommend Alexa for nannying, babysitting and pet sitting. Alexa was my babysitter for my daughter for over a year. She was always on time, thoughtful with activities and mindful of my needs for my daughter. She always made herself available, even on short notice. She was my daughter’s favorite babysitter and we were so sad to lose her when a move separated us. She also took care of my senior dog anytime I needed her. My dog adored Alexa and was always thrilled to go to her home. She was always loved and well taken care of, not to mentioned spoiled rotten!

Linda $25 per hour for 1 child

About Linda P. EDIT I have always enjoyed working with children. I started babysitting in junior high and by the time I was in high school I had an afternoon job at a local day care center. I went on to get my teaching degree in Elementary Education and taught five years of third grade and a year of kindergarten. After having three children of my own and taking some time off I went back to teaching but decided to try preschool instead and ended up teaching 8 years of it. After teaching elementary I was surprised at how much I loved working with the little ones. I was the lead teacher for a 3 and 4 year old class for 5 years and my last three years I taught a 5 day a week k-4 position. Over the last 10 years I’ve been doing part-time /full time Nanny jobs. I have worked for over 18 families and have taken care of over 41 children ranging from newborn to 12 years olds. I have enjoyed using my teaching skills and early childhood training to create a loving , nurturing, fun and safe environment for each child I take care of. I appreciate all the opportunities I have had to work with such wonderful parents and their amazing children.

Jordyn $19 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Jordyn! I currently attend George Mason University, where I have taken coursework in child development. I have several years of experience taking care of children of all ages, especially 4-11. Whether it was playing, preparing food, helping with homework, putting down for a nap, etc. I love puzzles, board games, and playing outdoors. Energy and creativity are my specialty! I also own two dogs, so I am very comfortable around animals. I look forward to helping out!

Isabel $20 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Isabel and I have recently graduated from high school. I’m planning on going to JMU in the fall. I’ve had experience with watching kids and animals since I was in 7th grade: I grew up babysitting by taking care of the younger members of my family, even if I was still a baby then, too! I love babysitting and I’d be more than willing to help out with groceries, chores, drive around the kids, or even help with cooking if needed. I am CPR certified, Stop The Bleed certified, and I recently became a CCMA (certified medical assistant) certified. I’d make sure that your children have a fun (yet safe!) time with me. Thank you for your consideration!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
