Hi! My name is Carmen! I’m 22 years old. I was born in Peru and moved to Northern Virginia in 2013. When my mom and I first moved here, we were waiting for our paperwork to be processed and weren’t able to work, so we started babysitting children from our home for families we knew and family friends. Over the years, we cared for children ranging from as young as 3 months old to about 4 years old. We built such wonderful relationships with the children and their families, and we still keep in touch with many of them and even attend their family gatherings. It has been really special to watch the children grow and to remain close with their families throughout the years. I previously held an RBT certification (recently expired) and have two years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which continues to strengthen my understanding of child development and behavior. I am CPR and First Aid certified for infants, children, and adults, and I maintain a clean driving record with my own reliable transportation.
