About Linda P. EDIT I have always enjoyed working with children. I started babysitting in junior high and by the time I was in high school I had an afternoon job at a local day care center. I went on to get my teaching degree in Elementary Education and taught five years of third grade and a year of kindergarten. After having three children of my own and taking some time off I went back to teaching but decided to try preschool instead and ended up teaching 8 years of it. After teaching elementary I was surprised at how much I loved working with the little ones. I was the lead teacher for a 3 and 4 year old class for 5 years and my last three years I taught a 5 day a week k-4 position. Over the last 10 years I’ve been doing part-time /full time Nanny jobs. I have worked for over 18 families and have taken care of over 41 children ranging from newborn to 12 years olds. I have enjoyed using my teaching skills and early childhood training to create a loving , nurturing, fun and safe environment for each child I take care of. I have told that I'm really good with kids. I just love being with kids, either working or playing with them. I came from a big family. Taking care people, especially with kids, comes naturally. I used to babysit for my aunts. I am experienced in cooking, cleaning, doing grocery, and other household chores.
