Booked by 1 repeat family
$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Kirkland, WA

Hi! I'm looking for a full time, longterm position in Shoreline, Lynnwood, Roosevelt/Greenlake and surrounding areas. I am available for part time, short term work (1-3 months). The core of my childcare philosophy is that babies and toddlers are complete small people. Given their experience, they're generally reasonable and deserve understanding, compassion and curiosity. My biggest skill for infants and toddlers is my calm and conscious regulation. They don't have their own yet! I set limits for health and safety while remaining respectful and compassionate. I love to sing, and I specialize in singing babies to sleep. I also love words, and your baby will be exposed to lots of playful and complex language. I'm queer- and gender-affirming, neurodiversity-positive, body positive, committed to anti-bigotry, and practice responsive discipline focused on collaboration and compassion. I have glowing references and a full resume I'm happy to share on request. I hope to hear from you soon! No part of this profile was created using AI.

Savannah 1 review
$18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Kirkland, WA

I love playing with children. I’ve been a part-time preschool teacher for the past three years. I work with two-and-a-half year old to six-year-old children. I assisted in many preschool classrooms. I also led some preschool classrooms. I’ve done the 30 hour Washington State STARS training. So, I’m trained to work with newborn to eight-year-old children. Though, I’m also comfortable with elementary aged (K - 6th grade) kids as well. I also have my Food Handler’s card, and am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen Prevention. I’m also a college student. My major is Early Childhood Education. I also studied Psychology in college for two years. Also, I used to help take care of my grandparents, who had Early-Onset Alzheimer’s, when I was younger. I’d help prepare food for them, take them to the bathroom, and interact with them. I also learned to try to be a part of their world, instead of trying to get them to remember what has happened. I love interacting with, listening to, and learning from older people. I would love to help support any seniors. I have two Tabby cats at home, Mango and Papaya. They’re very active and talkative little boys, who I love. My mom studied in college to be a veterinarian assistant. So, she passed down her love for all animals, except spiders, to me. I would love to help take care of any pets. Thank you for your consideration!

Savannah was amazing with my kids. She came with a transportation sticker book for my toddler and he was so excited he said I love you to her when she left. He immediately asked me to call her to come play again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
