Hello! My name is Raina, originally from Seattle Washington, and just graduated from the University of San Francisco in Environmental Studies and Public Service! I grew up babysitting, and nannied twin girls over the summers during high school and college. I have a little experience with infants over 3 months, and lots of experience with children between the ages of 3-12! I also worked in the restaurant industry throughout college. I’m big on crafts like sewing, painting, crocheting, and collaging, and love to make my own clothes. I also love playing sports and grew up playing soccer. Hello, my name is Amelia, and I am a special education paraeducator at Beverly Elementary. I also serve as a babysitter and tutor on the side. I have five years of professional childcare experience, from babies to middle schoolers. I have worked at before school programs, afterschool programs, special education, general education, and am CPR and CPI certified. I have experience with nonverbal children and AAC devices. I love being able to engage with children through play and art happens to be one of my favorite activities. I am also a huge reader and I love to read to children. I have navigated many different situations, from tantrums, meltdowns, and refusal to complete schoolwork, to elopement, backtalk, and student on staff violence. Through it all, I have always been able to keep a cool head and remain patient and kind throughout the situations. At the end of the day, I put the wellbeing of my students/childcare kiddos first. I wouldn’t do this job if I didn’t care about kids wholeheartedly, through good days and rough ones. Outside of childcare, I love to read, make art, go on hikes, work out, and spend time with my loved ones. I enjoy a good movie or show but I’m not huge on screen time. I’m the oldest sibling and have hands-on experience helping raise 3 siblings, 5 cousins, and 4 nieces and nephews, so caring for kids is second nature to me. Hi my name is Maya (she/her/hers) and I have just started my career towards completing a MLIS. I am offering childcare services (although I do have immense experience with pet-care as well) while I attend online school and need some flexible working hours. Firstly, kids are so fun to be around. Watching them grow into strong, independent, and caring individuals is such a big accomplishment for me. Over the years I have stayed in touch with many families whose children I cared for and are now going into higher eduction (yikes time flies!). About my childcare background: I have worked as a preschool teacher for a total of about two years and have been working with children for over a decade by babysitting and nannying. Some of my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing food, cleaning or tidying home, picking up/dropping off children at sports practices or school as needed, and teaching early developmental skills (fine motor, speech, social emotional). I have an updated CPR Certification for 2025 which includes young children and infants. I have also obtained my Early Childhood Education Professional Development Certification as required for my promotion into a lead teacher. I had been working as an English teacher at a bilingual preschool where I emphasized social emotional skills along with crafts and science experiments and English spelling, writing, and pronunciation. When I was not teaching a lesson I was there to play with and supervise the children as I strive to ensure a safe space for them where they can continue to grow and be happy and healthy.
