Hi there! I am an experienced nanny and sitter as well as a former preschool and daycare teacher. I have STARS training, two bachelor degrees, reliable transportation and a clean background. I have been working with children for the last 20 years and really enjoy it! Children have always been my passion, and I haven't found anything more rewarding than teaching and taking care of children. For fun I enjoy movies, music, arts and crafts, writing, photography, road trips and spending time with my dog.

Alicia was friendly and great with our toddler! Would work with her again!

Hi! My name is Raíssa, and I’m an experienced full-time nanny who just relocated to the Seattle area. I’ve been working with children for over 9 years, from newborns to preschoolers, and I’m currently looking for a new long-term position with a wonderful family. Most recently, I worked full-time for almost 4 years with a family in Virginia, caring for their daughter Reagan since she was a newborn and later her little brother Ridge from birth. I was truly part of their family and supported their children through every stage, from bottle feeding and diaper changes to preschool drop-offs and fun, engaging activities at home. I have a great letter of recommendation from them and other past families available upon request. My approach to childcare is calm, patient, and loving. I follow a mix of routines and play-based learning, and I love the Montessori philosophy, encouraging independence, creativity, and hands-on exploration. I always aim to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m also: • I am trilingual (English, Portugues, and Spanish) • Comfortable with pets (I’ve worked in homes with dogs) • Experienced with nanny shares, multiples, and newborns • Happy to help with light household tasks like tidying, kid laundry, and meal prep • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to renew if needed) I’m available full-time (Monday–Friday) and would love to find a family that values clear communication, mutual respect, and a long-term partnership. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be happy to chat and learn more about your family’s needs! Looking forward to connecting, Raíssa Barbosa

Hi my name is Paula I am an Irish Primary school teacher (elementary teacher) I have my Honors Bachleors Degree in Early Childcare and Education where I’m an Early childcare practitioner along with my Masters of Education where I have been Primary teaching (Elementary and Middle school) for the last 5 years in Ireland I absolutely love what I do. I was also a preschool (daycare) and after school teacher for 2 years in Ireland before I became a Primary Teacher. I have years of experience working with all age groups of children I love what I do, my favourite things to do are singing, acting, music, and art with the children, go for walks to the park, creativity is so important for little ones to learn and develop. I have my child care protection and CPR certificates both from Ireland and from America and my garda vetting. In January 2012 I moved to San Francisco where I had the pleasure to be a nanny for 2 and half year old twins for a beautiful family from 2012 to 2013 then I was a full time nanny working with another amazing family and three beautiful children from December 2012 until August 2015 during this time at weekends I would also do some babysitting on ‘Urbansitter’ and I loved the families I got to know through this app. Then at the end of August I decided to move home and become a teacher. I now have moved to Seattle with my husband and I am hoping to find some babysitting work here and teach also. My past experience consists of fundraising for children in South Africa. I did volunteer work in August, 2009 and setup fundraisers and raised 6,000 Euros for the children. If you would like to know more about me message me, thanks for reading this Paula. Unfortunately I am very allergic to hair on animals so I cant be around dogs and cats in the same room which is really unfortunate as I love animals too.

Paula helped us out when we had a last minute need - she was terrific and put my mind at ease immediately. Patient, caring and a lot of fun, our one year old had a great day with Paula - she even sent us photos throughout the day. Would highly recommend!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
