I began babysitting for family friends and families around my neighborhood when I was 13 years old. My mother also ran an in-home daycare business for most of my younger life and I always loved getting home from school and running over to help her care for the infants/toddlers. Being a flight attendant is my full time job but I am looking to cut back on flying all around the world and spend more time at home. My job is flexible and allows me to have a lot of availability. I am a very crafty person. In my free time I love to do puzzles, make things out of clay, sew clothing and household goods, and any other crafts that may peak my interest. I love to entertain children with hands on crafts. At previous jobs I also really enjoyed taking the children on daily outings like walks to the park, hiking, or to a museum or the library. I currently live in Oakland and am happy to travel to jobs nearby in the city or surrounding areas. I previously lived in North Beach so I am familiar with areas in the city as well as the east bay. My flight attendant training lends well to caring for children as I have become accustomed to diffusing meltdowns and handling stressful situations. I have also dealt with a handful of serious medical events through my job and am trained in CPR (both for infants and adults), how to use an AED, choking, seizures, and other first aid. Also, I have people close to me who are autistic so I am well equipped with the tools needed to care for someone on the spectrum.
