Hi! My name is Kate and I’m 23 born and raised in San Francisco. Currently I’m taking a gap year before continuing to law school next fall and would really like to continue working with kids till than. As a caregiver I really enjoy getting to know who the child really is so that I can meet at their level to be as helpful as possible. I love to have fun and explore with the kids I work with, even if it means jumping in muddy puddles outside. I'm going back to school in the fall to start my Masters Program in Sexuality Studies. I am flexible, social, playful, a strong communicator, and I love working with kids, animals, and elderly folks. Throughout my life, I have babysat for many families with children of various ages, typically multiple children at the same time. Hello! My name is Cepideh (Cep for short) and I currently work part-time researcher at UC San Francisco, a role I secured after graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 2021. In undergrad, I was an active student involved in the Undergraduate Mentorship Program which mentors and guides first year students through academic and personal situations. One of my first ever jobs was as a swim instructor at the local swim school De Anza Cupertino Aquatics (DACA). I taught children ages 7-11 basic swim strokes and safety during their lessons. I also had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor during my high school career. I led a group of elementary school children through their activities in a weeklong excursion in the Watsonville outdoor school. I find an incredible sense of wonderment when I have the opportunity to work with children. I end up learning more than I anticipated through conversations and activities I engage in with the children. I look forward to continuing to work with children in my local area!
