Hi, my name is Chessie! I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University and currently work full-time as a Pre-K teacher at a wonderful preschool in Marin. I’m looking for part-time and occasional babysitting opportunities to earn a little extra as I prepare for my wedding this March. Born and raised in Petaluma, I developed my passion for early childhood education at a young age. I began babysitting for friends and neighbors as a young teen and started working as a summer camp counselor at 14. While in college, I worked in an after-school program supporting children in grades K–5. For the past six years, I’ve been a dedicated Pre-K teacher, gaining extensive hands-on experience supporting children’s growth, learning, and social-emotional development. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have over 10 years of experience caring for children and families in my community. Hi! I’m a full-time college student completing my undergraduate degree for law school and a full-time daycare teacher with over 8 years of experience working with children through daycare, babysitting, volunteer work, and children’s ministry. For the past two years, I’ve worked at the YMCA, where I’ve received certifications in youth development, behavior management, safety, and CPR. I regularly lead groups of 30–50 children, create engaging activities, and support other staff to help ensure a safe, positive environment for every child. In addition to daycare, I have experience babysitting for families by preparing meals, helping with homework, transporting children to school and activities, maintaining routines, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities. I also teach Sunday School, where I plan lessons and activities for children.
