Hello I’m Zoie!! I really started working with kids when I was 14 years old. In my hometown, Clovis, CA, I was tutoring a couple kids, around age 10, with math and reading. When I was 16 I started a consistent nanny position with an 8 month old and a two year old. I would get there at 7am and get them up, dressed, and ready for the day. Throughout the day I was responsible for all meals and naps. When the kids were sleeping I’d do dishes for the family or tidy up common spaces. There was also a 5 year old that would join us when he didn’t have other activities scheduled. At this time I was also doing occasional babysitting jobs with kids from ages 3-9. I’ve enjoyed taking kids to the park for a change of scenery, or finding new ways to explore at home. I have always been theatrical which tends to be received well with kids and is a lot of fun for us both! I enjoy coloring and reading and all kinds of pretend play. I love having the kids involved with meal prep whenever possible, even if it’s just watching me and asking questions! One of my strongest qualities is patience, I have no problem answering a “why?” or “what is that?” 100 times a day! Hi, I'm Fiona. I'm from the UK but I've been living in the US for 7 years. I’m offering child care and senior care. I have been working with children for over 20 years in many different settings. I've taught music and dance classes to mums with little ones, taught dance in Primary Schools, been a full time nanny to a beautiful baby boy from 3 months until he was 2. I cared for a little girl from the age of 3-5. We loved baking together and going on outside adventures. More recently I was the director of a thriving children's ministry for a church. I was in charge of the welfare, curriculum programming and entertainment of over 150 children between the ages of 0-11 every Sunday. This included a nursery. I was in this role for 5 years. I have an undergraduate degree in Dance, and a Masters in Writing for Children from the University of Winchester, UK. Right now, I work for an organization where I write Bible studies for children who struggle with reading, helping them to engage in creative ways. I've also taught seated dance classes in senior homes across London. I spearheaded and intergenerational project called "Connecting the Generations", bringing little ones and seniors together through music and movement. I have been a high school English teacher for seven years, serving public and private school communities. I received my education in English Literature from Biola University, with specialized study at Oxford University, and attended Humboldt State University for my teaching credentialing program. While most of my teaching experience is with high school students, I have also been a care taker for younger children as well. Really, I just think all kids are pretty goofy and great!
