I am comfortable with animals of all species, breeds, and temperaments, as well as those with special needs. I have many years of experience working in specialty and emergency veterinary medicine. I also have training in animal CPR and am comfortable giving medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids. I have been caring for animals since I got my first dog at the age of 9, and successfully started my own pet care business when I was 14 years old. I have volunteered at the humane society as well as the wildlife center, and I have also assisted with the training of service dogs. I have a great passion for caring for senior animals. Entering into my senior year as a student-athlete at San Jose State, I'm excited to spend my summer providing exceptional childcare. My positive experiences in previous babysitting roles, coupled with being a middle child, have instilled in me a genuine love for kids. I came to the United States from Ukraine two and a half years ago to help my brother care for his children. At that time, the older girl was five years old and the younger had just been born. I cared for them full-time until recently, when the younger one began kindergarten. Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy working with children and how rewarding caregiving can be. My professional background is in healthcare — I am trained as a nurse — which has given me a strong foundation in responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to others’ needs. In addition, I have completed CPR and First Aid training here in the U.S., so families can feel confident that their children are in safe hands.
