I previously owned and operated an indoor playground designed for toddlers and young children, where I created safe, engaging spaces centered around play, creativity, and early development. Today, I work as a preschool teacher, supporting children’s learning, routines, and social-emotional growth every day. In addition to my professional childcare experience, I’m also a baker and a full-time crafter, which means creativity is always part of my caregiving. Baking simple treats, hands-on crafts, sensory activities, and imaginative projects are naturally woven into my time with children in fun, age-appropriate, and safe ways. Background: I have taught in preschool settings all around the LA/Ventura area for about 9 years now with primarily the 2-5 age range. My background is in child development which I’ve studied in college. I got into the field when I interned at a local family resource center where I organized lesson plans and play groups for infants and toddlers. Hi I am Shelly! I am 19 years old. I have experience with kids ages 5-12. I was a camp counselor for 3 years. I am able to cook and clean. I am also able to drive the kids to wherever they need to go. I grew up babysitting my younger cousins which grew my love for taking care of kids!
