Hi, My Name is Linda and I was a California licensed infant/toddler and pre-school teacher who worked at Little Tree Preschool, Holy Family, Bright Horizons and Potrero Kids. I have also worked as a tutor with the Jewish Coalition for Literacy and the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco. Due to a reduction in Government funding I was just laid off from my four-year employment with the non-profit On Lok as a fundraising asst. raising money to help low income seniors and disabled live independent lives with access to good medical care. However, I love children so I continue to babysit in the evenings. I have many years experience working with children of all ages. I am lucky that I continue to sit for families that I've had for many years as well as sitting for new families. I am fairly fluent in Spanish and know a bit of ASL. I love dogs but can sometimes be allergic to please let me know if you have a dog as I can take some medicine before coming. I can provide references if needed. Hi there, I’m Kaelyn! After taking a break from UrbanSitter to work with families independently, I’m excited to reconnect with this amazing community. I’ve lived in San Francisco since 2017 and earned my B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of San Francisco in December 2020. Now, I work full-time as a Program Manager in the biotech industry (specifically the research side of molecular diagnostics) I’ve been babysitting since I was 2011, starting with family friends’ children & gaining experience throughout HS, College, and Post Grad with a wide variety of ages & number of children, experience with 3mo–12 yrs and 1-3 children. As well over the years, I’ve gained extensive childcare experience, including five summers as a camp counselor at Rawhide Ranch, a Western horse camp in San Diego. As a counselor for 5-12 children a week, between children 7-15. There, I assisted with meals, cabin life, teaching classes, and creating a fun, positive environment for campers. In 2019, I worked as an Au Pair in Madrid, caring for two wonderful girls (ages 8 and 11). I loved teaching them English and forming a lasting bond with their family. Hello! - My name is Debbie, and I am a medical student at UCSF. I am offering child and pet care services. I have experiences watching toddlers and kids since the age of 18. In particular, I have worked as a camp counselor for 2-5-year-olds for the Neil Klatskin summer camp in 2018. Additionally, I have served as an undergraduate tutor for K-8 underrepresented students through the Latino Student Fund. I understand how much of a privilege it is take on this role and recognize how important it is to be a source of comfort and guidance to children in their childhood and adolescent years. Hi, I'm Wendi--a really fun sitter who has worked with kids of all ages for over twenty years. I'm also a mom who has had a fantastic time raising four kids in SF. I love working with groups of kids and was a Nursery Director for seventeen years caring for children from birth to age three. Currently, I teach first and second-grade at a public charter school which led me into the adventure of homeschooling my 13-year-old daughter. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are read, bake, explore Golden Gate Park, and play board games. I have also facilitated regular parenting classes dealing with topics such as anxiety in the home, choosing the right SF school for your child, and how to bring "play" into your daily routines.
