Hey there! I am a nursing student at USF, with a varied schedule week to week. Prior to starting this program, I worked in oncology & public health research, and earned a masters in public health from UC Berkeley. I have enjoyed working with children for years; through child care, school tutoring, and summer camp settings. I have experience caring for children from a wide range of ages (newborns to middle-school age), and caring for multiple children at once. I've spent the most time with 4-5 year old children working at summer camps including Camp Galileo, where I was given the opportunity to educate, lead, learn, and develop my skills with these kids. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am able to suggest plans for taking the kids out for the day, often doing some of the same activities and going to the same places I loved as a kid (parks, the SF zoo, the beach, baking, biking, to name a few). I also love hanging out at home with them, playing their own favorite games, cooking, creating art, and reading. I am also CPR-certified.
“Maddy got along great with our three year old daughter! Maddy was prompt, friendly, and jumped right into an active day with our daughter, which included a walk to the nearby park. Definitely recommend!”
☀️🌉☀️🌉☀️🌉☀️🌉☀️🌉☀️ Hello, I live in San Francisco and I have been working as a Full Time professional nanny in the Bay Area for over 15 years, working with children starting at 1 month old -- to preschool -- to older children. Caring for multiple children is my specialty and I have a lot of newborn experience, families tell me I am great with infants/babies/toddlers and have a lot of patience and energy for these age groups as well as all the others. I absolutely love my job! 💛 Note: if I apply for your babysitting job, I accept the hourly rate that you set! Working with children keeps me young at heart and I have so much fun doing it. I am a confident person, very organized and love structure but also very relaxed/flexible and people say I have a very calming presence. Basically I will go with whatever flow you have going on in your home and follow your lead and preferences. I have always gravitated towards caring for children. After college (UC Santa Cruz, BA Psychology) I worked as a Literacy Tutor for first graders in East Oakland, and even after some time working in office jobs life lead me back to children. I started working for a Family Day Care center and there I learned valuable knowledge about caring for multiple infants and toddlers at a time. Up to 10-12 kids! It was a natural progression towards nanny work. I love to read to children, play games, creative play, running outside, playing sports, being silly/laughing, etc. My mom was an elementary school teacher and people tell me I am like a teacher. I must take after her :) I am great with infants and toddlers, I recognize non-verbal cues very clearly and think ahead. I take instruction well and I also can do well without any instruction because I have so many years experience and I am a no-nonsense type of personality. I have a genuine interest in every child's well being. Your children will be well taken care of, safe and happy in my care. ❤️ I am CPR/First Aid certified. I can travel throughout the Bay Area, I have a very reliable car, a 2016 VW Tiguan.
“Catherine is amazing — timely, unfazed, great with kids !”
Hi families! My name is Catherine. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree, but I love working with children on the side, as I have always loved working with youth. I understand how instrumental it is for children to have someone patient, supportive, and caring to support their growth and well-being. I have been caregiving for children, from infants to preteens (8m-12y) for about 5 years now. I used to work as a Camp Counselor during the summers, which taught me multitasking, patience, and problem-solving, amongst several valuable lessons. I have also grown up babysitting outside the app, building valuable and meaningful connections with several families and caring for their little ones! My responsibilities consisted of organizing and maintaining each child's schedule, organizing playdates, assisting with homework, organizing and providing creative projects and arts and crafts, assisting with light housekeeping duties, and maintaining bedtime routines! I understand that choosing a caregiver for your children is a significant decision, and I take that trust very seriously. My goal is to create an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged to be themselves. Additionally, I am offering pet care and household services. I am extremely comfortable with dogs/cats, as I grew up around them. Can work around their diets, schedules, playtime, and routines! Grew up with three very large American Bulldogs, so size is not an issue for me. I enjoy caring for both cats and dogs of all breeds! My ultimate goal is to ensure families and individuals can rely on someone to look after their pets, little ones, or receive a helping hand with household services! I am also open to interviews if needed. Thank you for your consideration!
Hi! I’m a 29-year-old recent medical school graduate with a deep love for caring for others, especially kids. I graduated from the University of San Francisco and have spent time working at UCSF in cancer research, as well as building a nonprofit organization that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve had several years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages, including those with medical complexities. I’ve supervised up to 15 kids at a time while directing a summer science camp, provided consistent after-school care, and worked closely with families over multiple years. I also spent three years working at a tutoring center, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework and learning activities. I truly enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences for kids, whether that’s baking together, doing arts and crafts, playing sports, exploring parks, or organizing little “adventures” around the city like trips to museums, hikes, or the beach. I’ve also supported families during overnights, vacations, and special events like birthdays and weddings. I’m known for being extremely patient, dependable, and a strong communicator with parents. Most importantly, I genuinely love building meaningful connections with the children I care for and always put my whole heart into the families I work with. I’d love to connect and support your family however I can! :)
Hi! I’m Yuri, a recent graduate from San Francisco State University with a Master’s degree in Cell Biology. I’m currently looking for occasional babysitting opportunities, especially for date nights and weekend help! I’ve been babysitting professionally for about 12 years and also grew up helping care for my 6 younger siblings. As a San Francisco native, I love building strong connections with local families and creating fun, enriching experiences for kids. I especially enjoy nurturing children’s creativity and curiosity through arts and crafts, reading in silly voices, building forts, digging for “gems” in edible sand (blended cereal!), Legos, nature walks, museums, and play groups. I have a Montessori-inspired, gentle parenting approach and love encouraging children’s independence, imagination, and confidence in a warm and supportive environment. Working with children genuinely brings me so much joy, and I hope to continue babysitting while I work toward finding a permanent full-time position in research. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your little one(s)!
