I came to the United States from Ukraine two and a half years ago to help my brother care for his children. At that time, the older girl was five years old and the younger had just been born. I cared for them full-time until recently, when the younger one began kindergarten. Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy working with children and how rewarding caregiving can be. My professional background is in healthcare — I am trained as a nurse — which has given me a strong foundation in responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to others’ needs. In addition, I have completed CPR and First Aid training here in the U.S., so families can feel confident that their children are in safe hands. Now that my niece is in school, I am looking for a new opportunity where I can bring my skills, experience, and genuine love of caregiving to support other families. I’ve worked as a lead teacher in both infant and preschool classrooms and have 16 ECE units, including coursework focused on infant and toddler development. Outside of childcare, I’m a very creative person and love doing art, listening to music, traveling, and exploring new places. I enjoy finding fun and creative ways to keep children engaged, whether that’s doing arts and crafts, playing outside, reading, or simply letting them use their imagination.
