Greetings! I am First Aid and CPR Certified, and 37 years old. I have raised and trained two dogs, cared for seniors experiencing dementia and have 20 years experience caring for children of all ages. My strategy with kids (and seniors) is to slow down, answer all questions and give them options. As big sister to three boys, my entire childhood and young adulthood involved caring for kids. Once I left home, I became a certified post-partum doula, then went on to nanny full time. I became more curious about teaching kids, so became a theater teacher for kids ages 3-11 for 6 years. Hi - My name is Akie and I'm a music educator and youth development/arts nonprofit professional. I have been babysitting and tutoring since I was 12 years old! I am happy to help with tutoring, running around to sports practices/music lessons, and even give some flute or piano lessons! I am a licensed K-12 music educator. I currently teach early childhood music at Merit School of Music and in home private piano and flute lessons. I also used to be a chef at avec so I am happy to whip up a healthy meal for the kiddos or the whole family!
