Hello! My name is Acacia and I am a mom, entrepreneur, and avid animal lover. I have a great deal of experience with children of all ages. This experience comes from raising my own kids and from giving a helping hand to siblings and friends when they have needed it. In my early twenties I also worked for a year as a personal care attendant mostly with seniors, but also with a few children who had disabilities as well. In addition to this, I have also cared for my own grandparents in times of need and my father when he was fighting cancer. I grew up on a hobby farm which fostered a huge love of animals in me. Hello!! I retired early after 38 years of teaching. I received Elementary Education as well special education degrees from Luther College in Decorah, IA. I later received my Early Child Special Education degree from Mankato State University and my Graduate Degree from St Mary's University. I am presently driving two hours to care for my 2 year old granddaughter in Hopkins, Mn. I typically watch her two weeks each month, and rotate with a couple others. My schedule varies. I typically do not watch her on Tuesdays or weekends. She truly has been a blessing in our lives.
