The look of joy that she would give me when she returned to a clean home and children that were cared for was extremely rewarding and gave me a sense of pride. During my summer breaks in college, I would help take care of my elderly neighbor when her primary caregiver was away. I would cook, clean, do her laundry and help administer her medication. The admiration I had for her was so strong that when she was moved to a nursing home, I became a volunteer there. I have worked with infants ages 6-weeks to 8 months during the summers and winters that I had off from school. I have also been an intern and student teacher at an elementary school. I have multiple pets of my own including both dogs and cats. I have been taking care of cleaning my house and cooking food for many years and am a huge fan of clean, healthy, and nutritious eating. I am an extremely creative person with a passion for arts while I also love going on walks and trips to the beach. As I have experience with infants I have a knack for exposing children to different environments, tactile exposure, foods, and textures. Due to my background in education I also am able to incorporate learning into almost anything. I have hands on experience working in a pediatricians office as well as on a Mother baby unit at Overlook Hospital where I support moms with their newborns during their postpartum stay. I am BLS certified and can bring a calm, attentive, safety-focused approach to childcare.

I’m an art teacher with nearly 10 years of experience working with children of various ages. Over the years, I’ve worked as an after-school counselor, a camp counselor, and currently as a full-time teacher. These roles have given me a strong foundation in child development, classroom management, and creating engaging, structured environments where kids feel both supported and inspired. What makes me a great caregiver is my personality as much as my experience. I’m very personable, patient, and kind, and I naturally connect with children by being a bit silly and playful while still maintaining clear boundaries. I believe in building genuine relationships with kids—so they feel safe, heard, and comfortable being themselves—not just seeing me as an authority figure. In addition to childcare, I’m also comfortable supporting light household needs and maintaining an organized, calm environment. As for pets, I grew up with cats and currently have one of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily pet care, feeding routines, and understanding animal behavior.
