My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)
“Luke was very flexible and good with our toddler. ”
Hello! My name is Rebecca, and I am a responsible and caring individual who loves working with children. With 10+ years of experience in babysitting, I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children of all ages. I have a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow, and I understand the importance of providing them with both physical and emotional support. Experience: I have had the privilege of babysitting for numerous families over the years. During this time, I have cared for children ranging from infants to pre-teens. I am comfortable handling various aspects of childcare, including meal preparation, diaper changing, bath time, and bedtime routines. I also enjoy engaging children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games. References: References available upon request. Availability: I am available on Monday - Friday, and I am also open to occasional evenings and weekends. Flexibility is important to me, and I am willing to accommodate specific scheduling needs whenever possible. If you are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and caring babysitter, I would love to discuss how I can assist your family. Please feel free to contact me for any further questions. Thank you for considering me as a trusted caregiver for your children!
I'm a master's graduate with more than 15 years of childcare experience (including my extensive time caring for my teenage brother and sister since they were infants!). Originally from Phoenix, I've also lived and babysat in Los Angeles, and would love to share my experience with your family here in New York! I'm also happy to assist with household chores, cooking, animal care, and other services along with babysitting.
Hi, My name is Yulia! I moved to New York in 2020, shortly after graduating from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in psychology and focus in child development. In high school, I began volunteering with a therapeutic horsemanship for children with cognitive, developmental, and learning disabilities. This is where I developed my passion for caring for children and studying human development. I have over fifteen years of experience, including babysitting for multiple families, nannying, completing my capstone practicum as a pre-school aid, and most recently working as a behavior technician for children on the Autism Spectrum. I currently work at a medical communications agency, and I have found myself with some extra time in the evenings and on the weekends. I find children to be very entertaining and energizing and genuinely enjoy getting to know each of their personalities! I especially love being a part of their learning journey and helping them navigate new challenges in school and in life! I look forward to meeting you and your kidos!
**Please Note: For all jobs that begin before 7am or end 10pm and later, I do require compensation for cab fare. This ensures my safety during travel time when public transportation may not be the safest or most reliable option. Thank you for understanding.** **Early Arrival: I do request to be paid for the full amount of time booked even if parents should arrive home early** 2 HOUR/$50 BOOKING MINIMUM for one time bookings I am more than happy to discuss my policies with you. Hi! My name is Nisa. I am currently working as a part time nanny, but I have been a babysitter for over 15 years and I have loved every minute of it. I am a recreational ballet dancer who enjoys puzzles and painting. I am also extremely creative and I love coming up with new and fun adventures for kids to enjoy. I hate for children to be bored, so I like to do arts and crafts projects, read and sing to them, play card and board games, pretend play, bake with them, and go to the park. I even have a recipe for homemade play dough! I have also been an after school teacher for children, grades K-5 and I am currently studying to become a Newborn Care Specialist. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and pre-teens and I love connecting with each child on their level. I am naturally drawn to children which is why I love to spend time with them and be a part of their lives. I formerly worked as a cook and baker so I don't mind cooking and baking for/with the kids as well. I am currently CPR/First Aid certified and I have excellent references. Hopefully, I will be a great fit for your family. I look forward to meeting you! ** Please message me for my rates for any HOUSEHOLD SERVICES. Feel free to reach out to me for kitchen and bathroom cleaning, laundry, as well as pantry, closet, and general home organization. Thank you!**

"McKenna was great with our 3 year old son! She came prepared with a box of fun activities and handled playing, dinner, and bedtime seamlessly... and it was all at our hotel while we were in town for a wedding. Thank you McKenna!"
