Having a caregiver understand how you feel as a child, and empathize with your feelings, while still setting boundaries, makes a big difference in their lives. I also LOVE furbabies, whether they're dogs, cats, or exotic pets, I’m a huge animal lover and enjoy interacting with them. I offer my services as a pet sitter as well, so please feel free to inquire about this. My favorite thing to do is travel to different places. My hobbies are photography, video editing, and writing. 🔸 SAFE COMMUTE: To ensure my safety and because things have changed drastically since early 2020, I require a car (Uber, Lyft, Curb, etc.) from or to your home depending on the time when your booking ends or starts. These apply for bookings that either start before 8:00 a.m. or that end after 8:00 p.m. (20:00). 🔸HOLIDAY RATES: When working holidays I do ask for 1.5x my standard rate. It is updated daily but if there’s a time slot you need and don’t see available, please message me to inquire about it! 🔸CANCELLATION POLICY: I understand things may come up requiring you to cancel. I require 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. For less than 48 hours' notice, I charge 50% of the time booked. For cancellations of less than 24 hours’ notice, I require full payment for the time booked. This can be paid through a variety of money transfer apps: Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Paypal.

Hi I'm Hannah!. I'm a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, experienced sitter looking for a part time, weekend or occasional evening gig. I work in theatrical and live events. When not doing so, I support kiddos and their families. I am a licensed driver but am also happy to walk anywhere or use a subway. I’m CPR & first aid certified. I’m a recent Yale graduate with a masters degree in stage management. After working in a preschool during the pandemic, I worked in a Chicago area preschool classroom for almost two years in both the 2-12 month and 4 & 5 year old classrooms. In the spring of 2020; I graduated with a BA in early childhood, elementary education, and theatre. I am passionate and emphatic about viewing and valuing the child as a capable individual with a sense of agency. I'm Ali. I’m originally from Seattle and moved to New York in 2015 to study acting. I joined UrbanSitter during college and have been using it as my day job ever since. I have 18 years of childcare experience, ranging from date nights and private nannying to daycare and summer camps. Over the last four years I have began working in arts education as a teaching artist and youth theater director. I’m the 2nd oldest of 10 so I’ve been around young kids my entire life and am used to watching multiple kids at once. Due to being CPR and First Aid certified since I was 12, I’ve gained years of experience watching kids with varying disabilities and medical conditions, and am very familiar with working with children who are autistic, have epilepsy, or have life threatening food allergies. My go to activities are coloring, board games, going to the park, reading, movies, and arts and crafts. Outside of childcare, I am an actor, writer, and run an indie theater/production company. I’ve spent the pandemic studying trauma informed, consent based rehearsal spaces and mental health first aid. Both of these skills have been easily transferable to my childcare work. Cancellation policy: cancellation less than 24 hours my policy is full payment. If it’s within 72 hours, it’s half the agreed payment, and more than 72 there isn’t a fee. If you come home more than 15 minutes late with no communication I reserve the right to charge a late fee on top of that extra time. If you come home early I still charge for the full time booked since I had to block that time out in my calendar, unless we’ve agreed on it beforehand.
