“Amazing sitter who easily managed 3 children, got our baby to bed and back to bed- a baby who is not easy, and kept our boys happy and totally entertained drawing and playing. So sweet and highly communicative. A total pro that my boys enjoyed. Can’t wait to have her back! ”

Hello Families, My name is Angela, and I am from Colombia. I am a graduate student in Public Health. I have been caring for children for the past 18 years. I am CPR/First Aid certified and possess a California driver's license. I am current on all my vaccines. I am also a certified Postpartum Doula with over 13 years of experience. My philosophy is to support the baby, the mom, and the family in creating a balanced and loving environment. I am highly dedicated to my work and take it seriously. I enjoy activities such as engaging in art projects, visiting parks, museums, and zoos, going for walks, and baking with children. I appreciate parents who provide clear instructions for their children's routines, set boundaries, and communicate effectively. One preference I have is that children usually stay away from screens while with me, except on weekends, although I respect if parents prefer otherwise. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions!

Hi! I'm Olivia. Thanks for visiting my profile. A little about me: I have 15 years of experience as both a full-time and part-time babysitter. I started babysitting in 2012, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 34 and work as a writer/editor in the insurance industry. I’m available on the weekends (Friday night through Monday night) for babysitting. Note: I commute from NYC to NJ, so I can babysit in either place. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. My experience ranges from newborns to 14-year-olds, with every age in between. I especially enjoy sharing my love of books & reading. I love chatting with kids, answering their (hilarious/profound/thought-provoking) questions, and playing their favorite off-screen game. I was born in Manhattan, and I grew up in North and South Florida. Outside babysitting, I worked as a substitute teacher while attending grad school. From 2[removed], I was a full-time teacher at a private school in Florida, where I taught fourth grade reading, writing and science. I am skilled in social-emotional learning (SEL) and working with children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), Levels I, I, and III; OCD; and ADHD. I am also skilled in helping kids cope with anxiety, anxious thinking, or anxiety-related behavior patterns. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my friends, and kayaking. I also have an M.F.A. in fiction writing, and I love talking to both kids and adults about books and writing! Some other helpful info: I am comfortable with pets and light housework/pet care. I am not comfortable babysitting children who are not feeling well/sick/contagious. Please let me know ahead of time if this becomes the case!

“Olivia was awesome. She jumped in with short notice and did an amazing job with our son. Appreciate you and would highly recommend. Thanks again! ”

Hi! I'm Moni. I work in a flexible freelance role, and occasionally babysit and help with organizing spaces on the side when I'm free. I've always had a nuturing side from a young age from helping out my family with their kiddos and for many pets. I'm comfortable around all creatures- including farm animals and reptiles:) I have plenty experience caring for newborns to teens, and always encourage exploring their creativity, learning abilities, and talents in whatever it may be. I was a jazz/tap dancer at a younger age so I love dance. Plus hiking and cycling, DIY, gardening, music, cooking, theatre, painting, and organizing spaces. In my free time I volunteer at different organizations for youth and animals, and go to as many museums and road trips as I can. Note: I’m open to lower hourly/flat rate for pet/animal care, and able to help walk/feed/do check-ins/companion time for pets.
