Hi! My name is Kaylee, I’m 22 years old and I’m a native to the Charlotte area. I’m currently working as a supervisor at Starbucks and attending their ASU college program. I’ve been babysitting as a side gig since I was 17 years old. My specialty ages are 4-9 years old. I typically help with after school activities such as homework, reading and writing as well as other fun stuff like coloring, crafts and outdoor activities. On top of that, I can cook lunch or dinner and clean up the dishes when they’re finished. My objectives while babysitting include making sure your child is having good, safe fun while simultaneously wearing them out so once I leave, they’re ready for bedtime, a nap or quiet time. I’m said to be friendly, helpful, punctual and energetic so I’ll have no problems keeping up with the energy levels a child has. While my profile is geared towards babysitting I have no issue with running errands, cooking or cleaning up if that is what your family needs! Hey I’m Annie! After graduating from East Carolina University in 2017, I began working as an EMT for 3 years and also obtained my BLS certification. I then began working in the dental field and am just trying to pick up extra work to do during my off time. I have a lot of community service experience where I served as a mentor to a child, volunteered as a camp counselor for children with special needs, as well as volunteered in an after school program as a tutor. I have been a sitter for over 20 years, and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in developmental psychology. I have experience caring for kids of all ages, and am comfortable working with larger families and children with special needs. Working with children is something about which I am passionate and which I feel a calling to pursue. As a sitter I strive to strike a balance between energetic play and calm structure. I see my job as having 3 primary duties. Most importantly, keeping the children that I am watching safe. Next, maintaining the house rules and routine, so that children have a sense of stability when their parents are gone. Finally, I want to engage with the kids I am watching and help them have fun- I want "having a sitter" to be a positive experience, something to which they look forward! Beyond sitting I've participated in Big Brothers/Big Sisters and I have taught both martial arts and Sunday school classes for the last 20+ years (typically PK-3rd).
