Howdy! My name is Luke, and I'm a sophomore Kinesiology major at Texas A&M University. After undergrad, I'm looking to go to occupational therapy school to become a certified occupational therapist, preferably in pediatrics. Although I currently don't have professional caregiving experience, I am a friendly and patient college-educated individual who is certified in First Aid/CPR (adult & pediatric) and is in the process of becoming a certified clinical medical assistant. I look to enjoy supporting families by providing attentive, reliable care for children between 6 months - 12 years old. I'm happy to engage your children with board games, puzzles, and educational activities if needed. I like to meet children where they're at, so if your child favors a more energizing personality, then I can do that, or if they favor a more calm persona, then I can do that as well. I will follow your lead on household rules and communicate updates using your preferred method. I am very comfortable with pets if any are present; light housekeeping and light meal preparation is something I'm willing to help with too.

I have over a 35 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a strong foundation and early childhood education. I bring a deep understanding of how children learn and what helps them thrive academically especially when it comes to reading which is my area of expertise.
