Hi I’m Elsa, and I’m Hispanic with a lifelong love for caring for children. Since my early teens, I’ve helped my grandmother care for many little ones—family, friends, and neighbors—gaining experience with diaper changes, feedings, and playtime. I recently had the joy of babysitting a 2-year-old boy while his mom worked from home. My responsibilities included diaper changes, preparing simple meals, light housekeeping, and playtime. I became very close to him, watching him grow from crawling to walking independently after physical therapy—it was truly a special experience. We’d go outside on sunny days with his little car, play with his blue ball and blocks, and wind down together with his favorite shows before naps. I also accompanied his mom on several doctor’s visits, helping out wherever I could. I’ve also cared for a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. We’d often take walks to the nearby park where the older boy loved playing hide-and-seek. I bottle-fed the baby girl, rocked her to sleep, and made sure both children felt safe and cared for while her mom did her long nurse shifts.
