Hi, my name is Kaleen. I just relocated to Seattle from Florida. I am a mother of a 22 year-old son, a 17 year-old daughter, and my little guy is Jakob who is 5 1/2 years old. I share custody so there are plenty of opportunities for me to pick up shifts when I don't have him. With that being said, I don't have any certifications for childcare training. I have raised three amazing children. I am CPR certified in adults and children. I am a veteran, student, I am kind, patient, loving, dependable, honest, hardworking, and I can assure you that your children will be in great hands. I have been in the healthcare field for 25 years working in hospital settings, emergency settings, in-home caregiver settings, and everything pharmacy related. I have completed one year of nursing school, hoping to finish the last year and work with chemotherapy patients. As a single mom, I understand most people cannot afford $25+ an hour, I can't either, so I am willing to be flexible with payments and rates. I have an SUV, so I can run errands or take your kiddos out to wherever you might love to go! Or maybe some of mine and Jake's favorite places. Please don't hesitate to ask any and all questions.

My proudest accomplishment is raising my two sons into caring young adults. Second proudest is earning my degree in elementary education at 40 years old. I have always had a love for working with children and helping them grow and learn. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools, so my schedule is flexible. When my younger son was a toddler, he joined me at my job as a daycare assistant, where I assisted caring for a small group of toddlers, as well as provided one on one care for a sweet baby from when he was three months old until he turned one. I have stayed in touch with their family and have enjoyed seeing the young man he has become. I also spend a lot of time with my 5 year old twin nieces, and we love dancing, reading, and going on nature walks. I have experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. I am currently learning ASL through weekly online classes. I believe in open communication with both parents and children. I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each child in my care feels loved, safe, supported, and valued. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to a new family as their nanny, and look forward to building a strong and positive relationship with both the children and their parents. Hello everyone, I'm Alyssa and currently a student studying at UW. I mostly will be available T/Thursday mornings and M/W/F afternoons to evenings due to my school schedule. I do work another part time job at a hospital so my weekends have to be scheduled a month in advance, though sometimes I will have openings! I work best with shy and artistic kids as I used to be one myself. I am great at keeping an eye on kids, but not great with super high energy kids. I don't drive so I will typically show up 30 minutes in advance, and can't really transport the kids anywhere unless you're wanting me to Uber them. I'm great at winding down kids and getting them to bed, and would be willing to clean up your place afterwards if it's an overnight shift and you mention it.
