I am wilderness first responder certified, which includes emergency first aid, rescue training and CPR a certification. I am the oldest kid of my parents friend group and the oldest grandchild so I have been watching after my younger sister, cousins and neighbors most of my life, but I have officially started babysitting (aka getting paid) since I was 14. I have worked with kids from ages 2 to 12. I have experience with potty training, changing diapers and children with allergies. I also have experience with working with kids with additional needs. I am knowledgeable and capable of creating fun craft projects and educational activities suitable for ages 2 to 12. My family has had dogs and cats my entire life and I’m extremely comfortable around them and love them a bunch. I am also comfortable around any other animal. I am a (current) mental health therapist and experienced nanny looking for time-limited gigs (like vacations) or evening & weekend opportunities, including nannying/babysitting, house sitting, household management, travel nannying, pet sitting or other related tasks. I was a long-term nanny for families in the Seattle area from 2[removed] and 2018-2022. I also have experience with household management and organization/systems implementation to help households run smoothly, as well as ample experience with pet sitting. I have a 10 year old doodle myself who is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet! I have also nannied for 3 kids for a week while their parents went on vacation, and we had a blast! I am a mental health therapist by day, with afternoons/evenings and weekends available. To be transparent, my long-distance partner and I are looking to relocate in the next year, and we want to save some extra funds to ease the move & extend time off together. I have always enjoyed working with children. After finishing my degree in Psychology in 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil to work with the United Nations on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) for 2 months, where I taught Spanish and organized educational activities for children. My experience in childcare has been truly vocational and inspiring for me. I cared for a boy for six months, from 1. 5 years old until he turned 2. Then, I took care of a second child from 9 months until he was 2. 5 years old. Currently, I am taking care of a little girl since she was 4 months and she is now 2 years old! I enjoy helping children with their emotional growth and daily routines, while fostering a safe environment where they can explore and play.
